I drive a 2006 Ford Expedition. I bought this vehicle because my daughter plays soccer, and frequently, she likes to take a lot of friends to her soccer games. She also likes to take a lot of friends to other places so this vehicle was perfect. The only problem is that it is enormous. I suspect that driving a bus would be no different. On a positive note, a massage table and a massage chair can both fit in the cargo area with both rows of seats down. On a negative note, I am terrified to even attempt to parallel park the darn thing because it is so big.
Story
I live in the Midwest, so there's not a whole lot of location-specific stories to tell. I guess it has been fun to drive around the Ozarks.
Pros
The interior seems to be very strong and doesn't get damaged with lots of use. You can seat eight people comfortably in this vehicle. The car is rugged and can handle most of anything that a soccer mom can put it through.
Cons
The motor has a common problem that makes it very difficult to change the spark plugs. When you try to take them out, they break off and are very difficult to remove. This is ridiculously expensive to have a mechanic fix. Also, the suspension has issues frequently. The suspension is made of air bags, and the air bags get busted, so then you're driving around completely lopsided until you spend a ridiculous amount of money to get them fixed.

I thought this vehicle would be good for a growing family and good in bad weather, having four wheel drive. I was not happy with this vehicle due to high repair costs, expensive parts and odd failures. This truck will be the first and last Ford I will ever own.
Story
Driving through an animal park with my wife a 3 kids.
Pros
This truck looked nice, had lots of nice power options, and had comfortable seats. The engine power is substantial and it had a reasonably comfortable ride. Four wheel drive worked ok. I liked the factory installed running boards and the fog lights in the bumper were nice to have.
Cons
This truck needed a third row seat. Leather quality was terrible (cracked and split on driver and passenger seats). Electrical, steering and suspension problems. Expensive to repair. Four wheel drive slow to engage. Bad design on how spark plugs/coils are installed on engine. I had to replace two steering boxes on this truck in two years. It went through a lot of wiper blades. The wiper and washer on the rear hatch never worked right. The A/C compressor quit working and had to be replaced AND WAS VERY EXPENSIVE.
