2008 Ford Expedition EL - The best, longest-lasting SUV.!
I love my Expedition EL for every aspect of it. The interior is very roomy, with lots of head and leg space. Being a mom of four, we use all three rows of seat, and my kids in the very back row are still very comfortable. Ford did not sacrifice any comfort or expense on any of the seats or legroom. There are more than enough cup holders, at least one per person, even more in the front. The cargo area is large enough for us to put all of our groceries or luggage in, even with the third row in use. The exterior is quality as well. The painted areas have held up well. I have not had to do any major repairs, just the expected tires, oil, wipers, and just recently taillight bulbs. There are very few things that I would change about my car. One being the silver/chrome around the air vents. I... (more)

One being the silver/chrome around the air vents. It is constantly catching the sun and reflecting straight into my eyes. Another change would be the ease of pulling up the middle row to access the third row. My kids under the age of 12 cannot do it on their own. And the cover that folds down when the third row is up, or covering the crack when the row is down, is very flimsy. And I cannot seem to find a replacement part for it. My vehicle has over 206,000 miles on it, and it is not showing any signs of slowing down any time soon. I plan on driving her until she dies completely, and that will be a sad day. This has been the best car that I have ever owned.
While visiting Colorado, we decided to drive over and see a waterfall that was close to the sand dunes that we had just visited. There was no indication that the road leading to the falls was going to be as rough and bumpy as it was, but we had committed to going to see it, so we didn't turn around. There was no indication that the road leading to the falls was going to be as rough and bumpy as it was, but we had committed to going to see it, so we didn't turn around. We had family sitting in seven of the eight seats, so people in all three rows of seats. My Expedition handled it a great as could be expected. Had we been in anything less, we would all have concussions, bruised ribs, and probably broke the windows out. The road looked like some of those extreme places that you see Jeep and other all terrain vehicles driving on in their commercials. Everyone in the car was laughing with tears at the wild drive. By the time we made it back down the mountain and onto smooth asphalt, we felt like we were riding on air.
I love the longevity of the vehicle. I love the overall space in all three rows of seating. And the comfort of all three rows of seats is rare to find in most other cars of this size.

The gas mileage isn't my favorite, but to be expected I guess. And I really dislike the chrome around the air vents that reflect the sun straight in my eyes.

2011 Ford Expedition EL -
I love my Ford Expedition. I had previously owed a Ford Explorer and was looking for a larger vehicle when I purchased this one. I was nervous about getting such a large vehicle, but I was pleasantly surprised about the way it drove. I struggle to drive my husbands pickup truck but not the Expedition. I feel like I am driving a luxury car with the added bonus of tons of space. The Expedition has plenty of power ports and cup holders for everyone's drinks and charging their games or cell phones. My son plays travel baseball so I always feel like I am taking everything in my house for a weekend of baseball, but this vehicle holds it all and still has room so no one feels that they are sitting on top of each other. My favorite memory of taking my car out was on Black Friday a couple years ago. There were four of us that left about 6pm to go Christmas shopping. While we had fun shopping and bonding, it was clear by 4am that it was a good thing we took my Expedition as opposed to my friend Tahoe because the four of us and filled the back of the car almost completely up with shopping packages, and that was with the third row folded into the floor. There is no way we could have made this trip together on any other vehicle. We have now made this an annual event.
The things I love most about my Expedition are the Microsoft Sync system, adjustable pedals, folding third row and the middle of the second row moves forward toward the front of the vehicle. I have many songs on my IPhone and it is so easy to play my music using Bluetooth through the car's sound system or answer the telephone with out having to pickup the phone thanks to the Microsoft Sync system. I am short so having adjustable pedals was one of the key selling points for me. This feature allows me to move the gas and brake pedals towards me without having to be sitting on top of the stee... I am short so having adjustable pedals was one of the key selling points for me. This feature allows me to move the gas and brake pedals towards me without having to be sitting on top of the steering wheel and worrying about if I crash and the air bag deploys will it hurt me. I have a small child so having the third row move up closer to the front row has been wonderful. When my child is fussy, I can just reach and put my hand on her leg and settle her down where I was not able to do that in my previous vehicles. I think the best feature of the car is the automatic folding third row. I can push a button to raise the seats or fold them into the floor. This is great because it is easy and you do not lose any storage area by having them just fold up instead of disappearing into the floor.
The only negative thing I can say about my car is that I wish the side mirrors were electro chromatic like the rear view mirror. When cars get behind me at night sometime the side view mirrors tend to reflect the light into my face making it hard to see.

2005 Ford Expedition EL - Love it
For an older vehicle purchase, I really like the luxury of the Expedition. It performs very well even though it has high mileage. With what I paid for, I have no complaints. The Ford Expedition has a lot of room, with the third row seating. The seats are comfortable, which also includes the heated seats, which is a great addition. I also like the fact that it has an automatic sunroof, so you can really enjoy the fresh air as well. The turning ratio of this vehicle is great, easy to drive with the luxury of a family vehicle. This vehicle is the most comfortable vehicle that I have owned and drives smoothly. I love my Ford Expedition and will be looking to purchase a newer model in the future.

This is a fun vehicle. I had a birthday party at a local park and it rained, but with this vehicle, you can just pile everyone in and wait for the rain to stop.

The style of the vehicle looks great with the two tone of navy blue and gray on the outside and the tan and black interior on the inside. The seats are spot on with tan leather interior, automatic seat adjustments and the heated and cooling options. The temperature control allows the temperature to be adjusted to your needs with the driver and passenger heating adjustments as well as it has heating and cooling vents and adjustments in the back. The stereo also comes with satellite options and also has the controls for the back passengers as well.

The automatic sunroof and back side vents allow the whole vehicle to freely have the flow of the fresh air. Back assist allows the ease of backing up to let you know if you are too close to any objects. This is just a few of the pros of the Expedition.
The first con would be that this vehicle I purchased had high miles. There is a ticking noise in the motor, which I was told that this is common with these vehicles. And also I have to replace the air conditioning clutch, as it also getting stuck and making noise. Another con is that the vent in the back is making noise as the fan might be off balance and will have to get that looked into as well. I need to look into getting an alignment as my steering wheel shakes when I go past 70 mph. I really don’t like the tan interior. I feel that black or gray would have been a better choice. These ...
