I have had my Truck for 14 years, and I purchased it back when I only had two kids. I now have five kids and it has been great with carrying us all on our road trips. It's spacious capacity allows us to bring along all of our luggage and items that allow us to enjoy trips away from home. I have driven this truck on long 24-hour drives, and have not had any problems with it breaking down nor overheating. The interior is cloth and, with the spills from my many kids, has been able to wipe clean easily. It has a large fuel tank that allows me to drive for many miles before having to fill up. The captain style driving seats and easy power steering give me the comfort and maneuverability of driving in a car. Although, it is a large vehicle it is easy to park in many places and situations tha... (more)
Story
While I was living in Alaska, our home was high on a hill with a very steep road. When my family would come over, and they all had trucks of different make, none of them would be able to make it up the hill with all of the ice on the road. They would all slide back down about halfway up. So, they would all have to park at the base of the hill. Then, I would come home with my Excursion and driv... (more)
Pros
Dual air conditioning that allows the front passengers to control the heating and air separately from the passengers in the rear. The huge interior space allows for many passengers and cargo. The seats can be removed or laid down to make more space.
Cons
The cost of filling up the tank can be expensive when the gas prices are high. The regular lights are really bright, and I get flashed sometimes because people think that the high beams are on.

We purchased this Expedition four years ago in exceptional used condition with only 107,000 miles on it at the time. Our Expedition has room to comfortably seat eight. We are a family of six, three of which play travel baseball and the versatility of the seating is great! We carry lots of bulky equipment and equipment bags. The third row seating can be completely flat or you can choose to let the smaller seat down only. If we are taking our cooler and baseball equipment we usually choose to let the wider third row seal down, allowing us to still seat all six in our family. Both front seats are heated or cooled individually at the touch of a button. I am also pleased at the many ways you can adjust both the front driver and passenger seats. This is important not only for the com... (more)
Story
We love to pile in the siblings of other players on our team to make an ice cream run! Because we can seat so many there are always lot of happy faces.
Pros
Head room. Leg room. Many cup holders. Adjustable seating. Rear glass pops open. Heated/cooled seats. Steering wheel is big and sturdy. Drives and rides smooth.
Cons
The many warning bells that go off when simply starting the engine. The warning bell that the drivers seat is not buckled is extremely loud. Parking is somewhat challenging because of the vehicle's size. Fuel economy is awful.

Very comfortable interior with plenty of space for people and/or cargo. Simple, early 2000's design with not too many buttons or lights all over the dash demanding your attention. Rear seats (2nd row) fold to the floor, allowing plenty of storage in the back. Barn doors in the back make putting large items in the trunk much easier and the half glass allows you to stick items out the back if they don't fit (e.g. Lumber).
Story
Been used for plenty of great road trips in college and after.
Pros
6.8L V10 has plenty of power for towing; rated for 5 tons, but it can definitely pull a lot more. Interior is extremely comfortable and has plenty of power outlets and storage space. Cloth seats don't deteriorate like leather and are nice and cool in the summer. Giant windows everywhere, so no blind spots.
Cons
Gas mileage isn't great (about 10 - 14 mpg average). Also parking can be an issue, not because it is difficult, just too big to fit in a lot of spaces without having to climb out a window. Last con is the ignition coils in the V10; they will need to be replaced between 100k and 150k miles and are the weak point of the motor.
