My wife and I absolutely love our Ford Escape. We've looked at newer models of the same vehicle and would love to have another if we're ever in the market for a new car. It's roomy, has plenty of power, the trim level offers all the basic options a person would need, and having 4wd comes in handy. It has no problem getting on an interstate in a hurry, or if you misjudge pulling out into traffic and have to step on it. In the 2+ years we've owned our Escape we've had no problems with it. It's at almost 80,000 miles and still going strong. Most maintenance is easy with basic tools, except changing the battery.
Story
We love picnicking and tailgating out of the back of our Escape. We've taken it on vacation with a cooler in the back and stop at different points of interest for lunch out of the back. We've also went to fireworks shows and used the rear for seating and keeping drinks and snacks. It's comfy, roomy and the rear hatch offers a bit of protection from rainy weather. Pros
Very powerful, yet fuel efficient. 4WD works great, even if it is automatic. Plenty of room inside and even more if you fold the rear seats down. Built-in satellite radio with Bluetooth. Comfortable interior and ride quality. Absolutely love having a USB port as well as two 12V sockets up front.
Cons
Lots of road/wind noise from outside makes its way into the cabin. Styling is a little too car-like for our model. The newer models look much more like an SUV on the front-end. Lots of hard plastic on the inside can give an impression of cheapness. Battery replacement is a chore. Several plastic parts have to be removed to access the compartment that holds the battery.

The interior and exterior of this car is built very well. It has good gas mileage and has maintained in pristine condition for the 9 years I have had it. It still runs as beautifully as it did the day I took it home. I have had zero problems with the running of the car and the only maintenance has just been routine checkups and oil changes. This car is a 10/10 when it comes to almost everything. I love the way it drives and I love the acceleration. It can go fast, which I also love.
Story
I have had fun driving my friends around in college in this car. Whether to get food or ice cream, I have had many good memories.
Pros
The interior of the car is very nice. The leather is pristine and has maintained its condition since I got the car. The stereo and sound quality of this car is amazing as well. Overall, the interior is beautiful and one of the top best things about this car.
Cons
Since it is a 2010 car, the only real negative thing about this car would be that it does not have a backup camera or some of the new technology seen in cars that are newer. The technology in the car is not bad, but it just lacks some of the newer things, which is expected.

I love CarMax because first, you do not have someone following you around and trying to pressure you into buying a car. Second, you just walk onto the car lot, every car is unlocked and waiting for you to sit in it and check it out. Third, the purchasing portion is super easy, no hidden fees, and great customer service.
