2013 Ford Escape - Factory defects.
At first, I really liked the Ford Escape. It had a nice interior, drove well, and had variety of entertainment upgrades that were superior to my older car. However, after only three years, it has been to the shop twice for a cracked fly wheel/flex plate in the transmission. Luckily, warranty has covered the repair, but Ford made it extremely difficult to get it covered on the last repair even though it was their fault.
Story
I have had to drive by myself to work the past few years. I have been unable to listen to audiobooks from my phone until I had the Escape with Bluetooth. It has been very enjoyable, and one of the highlights of my drives.
Pros
Leather seats, drives smooth, great gas mileage, Bluetooth capable, touchscreen system, USB port, and heated seats.
Cons
Cracked flex plate/fly wheel issues, not much carrying capacity, cramped back seat, and feels slow at times.
2010 Ford Escape - Great day to day driving
I have been very pleased with the my Dodge Avenger since purchasing it. I really enjoy the way that this car handles on both the interstate and in the city. It has a very sleek look for being a sedan. It get great gas mileage, 26 in city and 32+ on the interstate. This car has also been extremely reliable only needing your occasional maintenance such as brakes and an alignment. This car and performed exceptionally well and has had a very comfortable interior making riding in it pleasant.
Story
I have used this car on 3 very significant road trips thus far. The first was an outstanding trip down to Miami for the Alabama vs Notre Dame Football National Championship game. The other was To New York City to visit my grandparents. The most recent and most memorable trip ive taken was a 3 week tour up and down the Atlantic coast, which I greatly appreciated the great gas mileage my car ... (more)
Pros
The handling and the smoothness of this car has so be its top quality for me. Another great plus if this car is purchased is the outstanding gas mileage that it gets. The heated leather seats have also been wonderful helping to keep my body warm while the rest of the car heats up in the winter months. The last thing that is very important in any car that I drive that this car certainly has is to look good. It smooth body and sharp points to a great job of highlighting it features.
Cons
This car could use a little bit more room in the back seating area. There is one area on each side of the back seating area where when trying to look out the windows there is a small blind spot. Lastly this car has decent acceleration but nothing special, it would have been nice to have a little more pickup speed.
