2016 Ford Escape - Great car for trips and moving things
I love how comfortable this car is. The seats are easy to relax in and were really nice when I took a vacation. The drive to our destination was about ten hours, and it was nice to have plenty of space to relax in.
Story
The most memorable incident so far was being stuck in traffic for three hours trying to get out of Los Angeles. I didn't have any issues with the car, no issues with over-heating in almost dead stop traffic. We used the built-in XM Radio put on music and have a distraction until we got out of the city.
Pros
There is a lot of space for passengers and for stuff. On my vacation I was able to fit all the luggage needed for five people and didn't have to put anything in passenger areas of the car. I was also able to fit a small ice chest in with everything else so we didn't have to stop as often for drinks or snacks. Another great thing about this car is how easy it is to fold down the seats to fit more stuff. Cons
I do not like how long it takes for the car to heat up during the winter. It takes awhile before you stop feeling cold air.
2003 Ford Escape - Incredulous, the vehicle I've always wanted
I absolutely love this vehicle! I went from having a beat up 1999 Corolla to this car, and it is a massive upgrade in terms of both space and quality of vehicle. I'm an avid camper, and I like to live luxuriously when I camp. This car has the cargo space to fit all of the camping necessities and still have room for my dog in the back seat. Handles very well in the mountains and on any terrain I have taken it on so far!
Story
I took it up to the mountains the first month I had the car and I as a little unsure as to how it would handle all of my equipment and the roads leading up to the mountains as it can get a little winding. Fortunately, this car has a lot more space than one would assume looking from the outside, and it took the mountains like a champion.
Pros
This car can handle any terrain it's put on, and has the power to tough it out on any given Sunday. The leather interior is really great and easy to clean, as I'm used to having cloth seats that stain easily and absorb most odors. The sunroof is a wonderful addition to the car as well, as I love getting extra fresh air in the cabin.
Cons
The only negative thing that I have to say about this vehicle is the 6 CD changer that Ford continues to insist upon installing in their vehicles. The CD changer jammed easily and remained jammed until I was able to get a new stereo put in, which, in addition to the original cost of the car, was more of a hassle than anything.
