I have a black 2009 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor. She had tens of thousands of hours on the motor when I bought her but not that many miles, meaning she spent most of her life idling. She runs like a dream, though. She is the first car I have not felt claustrophobic in, and I have owned several vehicles. She is incredibly roomy and has massive trunk space -- enough for a spare tire, medical jump bag, and full turnout gear for a firefighter (boots, helmet, lucky helmet, bunker coat and pants), and roadside repair tools. If you are looking for a vehicle with incredible horsepower, an indestructible motor, and very low maintenance costs that will stop on a dime, the Crown Victoria police interceptor is for you.
Story
I live in the southeast but do not have any local mountains, so I hooked a bike trailer up to my car and drove my motorcycle up to the mountains in a different state.
Pros
I love the body style of my car. It is a police intercept cruiser and is absolutely stunning. Parts, such as the transmission, are incredibly inexpensive; and if you have the right tools, all maintenance is very simple to do yourself. Two of my favorite features are acceleration and the fact that this car stops on a dime, even in sleet. She also handles very well but has a longer wheel base than other cars.
Cons
One of the biggest cons of this vehicle is fuel efficiency. It is a flex-fuel vehicle, so it gets marginally better gas mileage than the older models; but it is expensive to fill up, especially with its 19-gallon tank. There really are not that many cons, to be honest.
