I purchased the car from the original owner, the Las Vegas police department, at an auction. I had never purchased a car this way before. At the inspection the day before, I saw water spots on the hood and concluded the car must have spent years in a garage, maybe it belonged to a detective who didn't drive it much. That turned out to be true, the car had only 92,700 original miles on it after nine years. After I bought it wouldn't start, but a jump start and a trip to the local Wal-Mart fixed that right up. Story
If you drive a Crown Vic, people think you are a cop. They will not pass you. You will be the first to go at four-way stop signs no matter which side you are on or who got there first.
Pros
Raw power. Wants to come out of retirement and catch bad guys.
Cons
Only gets about 15 MPG when newer cars get 30-40.

2007 Ford Crown Victoria - Spacious and reliable.

Since it is an old police car, the radio is pretty basic with no CD player or aux port, but it works fine. There are not a whole lot of cool bells and whistles, and I certainly wouldn't consider it a luxury vehicle. My biggest issues with it have been exhaust issues and the terrible gas mileage. I researched before buying, so I knew there was a ... (more)
Story
When driving the car home from the lot, I got so many scared looks and saw so many brake lights. It was pretty hilarious and fun to see the reactions of others.
Pros
Spacious, safe, fast, fun, and reliable.
Cons
Bad gas mileage and exhaust issues.
