The Ford Crown Victoria is a great car if you are looking for something that can drive like new even when it has higher miles. With it having been widely used for taxis and police cars, there are many inexpensive parts readily available. The big engine and space under the hood makes the car easy to work on. I live in a major city and have driven through many pot holes, but the heavy duty police rims can take a beating. I also had driven it for a rideshare company on a full-time basis and didn't have any mechanical problems. I was driving it ten to 12 hours out of the day and never experienced a lack of performance. My riders would often comment on how spacious and comfortable the car is. When people would have luggage, it would always fit comfortably, as the trunk is enormous. The car ... (more)
Story
I had a friend hold the trunk release button. She was sitting in the car while I was loading up the trunk. I couldn't close my trunk, and I was getting angry, only to look up and see my friend laughing at me.
Pros
I like that it is large. It handles well and is quiet, despite it having a big engine. It is also easy to maintain and to find parts for.
Cons
It is not very good on gas. I also get looks and comments because people think I am a police officer.

The car is unstoppable. I'm at 263,000 miles and have had no engine issues and very minimal issues overall. The car is extremely dependable, and even at over 250,000 miles, it runs smoothly. I trust the car to not leave me stranded. The car isn't luxurious at all; however, that isn't what I was looking for when I bought the car. I was looking for a dependable, roomy car that was inexpensive, and the Crown Vic fit the bill.
Story
I have too many fun memories in this car. Simply because of its size and comfort. My friends and I used it for road trips and many outings. I've carried four people in comfort with BBQ equipment in the trunk for wonderful summer BBQs at the beach.
Pros
The biggest pro is how well the car runs. It just won't stop. After almost a decade of ownership, I've only broken down twice. Once was because of the fuel pump and another time was because of a spark plug. The trunk is gigantic, and I love that about it. I'm big into car audio and having a large trunk is great when you want to install a subwoofer for bass. I have a 15" subwoofer, and I still have plenty of trunk space for groceries and tools. The car itself is very roomy and extremely comfortable for driving with friends and extended periods of driving. The engine is smooth and so is the ... (more)
Cons
The biggest con is the gas mileage. The car eats up gasoline like crazy, and as such, it can be somewhat expensive to operate if you drive a lot (which I do.) The other con is that the car doesn't feel luxurious in any way. It is a very simple car with cloth seats and an extremely basic sound system. There is no CD player. It's not the greatest looking car ever and leaves room for styling. The headlights aren't very good either, and it's not about the bulb. The way the headlight housing is designed doesn't lead to optimum light output.
