1995 Ford Bronco - Best Used 4x4 for the price
Despite production stopping over 20 years ago, the Ford Bronco is still one of the best used trucks you can get for the money. The motor options (5.0 or 5.7 liter) are nearly indestructible, and the 4x4 refuses to die. Whether you are using the truck for work or for pleasure, the Bronco will never disappoint. For those that enjoy working on their vehicles themselves, the setup of the engine and drivetrain makes it easy that anyone with even minimal mechanical knowledge can perform the repairs themselves.
Story
As soon as I bought the truck, we took it on a weekend camping and off-roading trip in Upstate New York. After driving through about five feet of water, I thought that I would have caused severe damage to it. Not only did the Bronco make it out unscathed, but it was one of the most fun weekends of my life.
Pros
For a compact truck, the Bronco is extremely spacious. With two bucket seats in the front and three rear seats in the second row, you can comfortably fit both family and friends. The ground clearance is amazing for a truck this cheap, allowing you to go off-road whenever you please. Traction and weight distribution are superb for asphalt, snow, or dirt. The abundance of aftermarket parts make repairing and customizing the truck extremely simple.
Cons
Being a '90s vehicle, the truck tends to develop rust in certain places. The gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired, especially when using it for heavy duty work. Certain trim parts, such as the plastic interior trim, can be hard to come by and therefore expensive. The cloth interior can become dirty over time, and usually requires either a deep cleaning or a complete replacement. Electric window motors tend to burn out over time.
1995 Ford Bronco - Love My Bronco
The gas mileage is not as bad as I thought it would be and absolutely worth it when you consider the many uses of this car. I love the size. You can fit a fit a lot in it if necessary. It is very comfortable for long drives and road trips. It is big enough to seat four to five people comfortably even with it only having two doors. I have never had a mechanical problem other than general maintenance like brake replacement. The back window is my favorite feature. If you roll the front windows down about halfway and roll down the back window you get excellent airflow. When it is too hot for that the air-conditioning is the best I have ever experienced in a car. The same can be said about the heater. It is a good size for driving around in the city but it has the four wheel drive which mak... (more)

I got caught out in the rain without the hard top on the back. I also frequently get asked if that is my dad's truck I'm driving.
