The Fiat 500e is my most favorite car I've ever owned, and I've owned many cars. I've had 2 fords, 3 Chevys, and 3 Mercedes and this is my favorite for sure. It cost me about $30 a month to operate, and I drive it everyday. Its got so much torque that you can get ahead in traffic and I ever have to go to gas stations. Its really small size is perfect for the city where I live, and I can fit in almost any space. I just plug the car in when I'm not driving and it just works for me. no oil changes, no mess, no fuss. and It has a lovely sound system. On top of all that, I'm really into design, so I naturally love me little Italian car. Because I live in California, the energy I'm using to power my car is coming from mostly hydroelectric sources, so this is a very environmentally ethical pl... (more)

The car is electric; it is very smooth and nearly silent upon driving. It has a sleek, dark silver with tinted windows and was purchased with nearly no previous damage to the car from the previous owner. I have never broken down, run out of electricity, or had any major damage inflicted upon the vehicle.
Story
I got to push my car to its full range limits when I drove to Coachella for the music festival - scary but fun.
Pros
The car was bought for a decent price. It drives very smoothly. It is fully electric. I get free charging of my vehicle on my university campus. I can conveniently plug my car into any outlet. It accelerates very fast. The average charge using a level two charger takes about four hours, so I am able to charge my car while attending classes at my university throughout the day.
Cons
The car is small, so it can not carry much cargo or passengers. Because it is fully electric, and used previously, the battery can only currently support mileage for about 70 miles with a full charge. The mile range however, incorrectly estimates about an 110-mile range, which is pretty deceiving to a new driver. The charge with a level one charger, at home, takes a significantly long time - about 22 hours. This can be a major inconvenience if you need to go somewhere on short notice, or if your charger malfunctions. Therefore, it is not the most reliable car.

My Fiat 500e was a leased vehicle which was acquired for the main purpose of work commute. With a full electric range of 87 miles, it is more than enough for my daily commute of 52 miles total. The car is a 2 door, 2+2 seating hatchback. The front seats are spacious for a small car, but the back seats is very cramped and is only ideal for riding on short trips.
Story
I remember having to drive the car until battery was almost out due to a miscalculation. Luckily I was able to make it home.
Pros
I liked that the car provided considerable fuel savings as gas prices hover around $3-4 per gallon in California, while the equivalent electricity cost is about 1/3 of gas. The car also provides great acceleration due to its electric motor providing full torque at any speed. The steering wheel controls, blue tooth music streaming and call handling was also handy. I also scored a great deal for the lease at $99 per month with very little money down.
Cons
The driving range for the car is a bit too short, as I have to recharge my car everyday for my commute. Ideally a 150 mile range would help ease some anxiety. Also, the tires that came with the car had rather bad traction. I'm not sure if they had to sacrifice that in order to gain better range. That combined with the small car statute makes it rather dangerous to drive on rainy days.
