2014 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 - Best Truck on the Market!
This is my 3rd Ram 1500, and I've noticed a lot of key improvements over the years since 2006:
- Better fuel economy
- Better ride quality
- More thoughtful interior design
- Better anchors and tie-down points in the bed
- Better power
- Better transmission and transmission control
Pros
PROS:
- Great styling and aerodynamics
- Great weight distribution
- Good traction, in all terrain/weather
- Awesome power
- Awesome fuel efficiency
- VERY comfortable
- Great stereo system
- Nicely organized EVIC information screen
- Great towing capability
Cons
CONS:
- (quad/crew cab) Headrests in back seat block some of rear-view
- transmission hunts for higher gears unless using tow/haul
- Interior on ST models are still a little sparse
- No overhead console on ST models (no map lights, etc)
- Some Express (ST) models come without receiver hitch adapter
2001 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 - Decent to Own
It is a reliable truck for driving a good distance. Has some issues. Oil leaks and I have to fill it up every so often. It rusts very easily around the tire area. Interior is very clean looking and performs well. It has problems with A/C. Overall, it will get you where you need to be.
Story
It is fun to drift on the dirt roads.
Pros
The interior is amazing. It gets going pretty fast. It can withstand long road trips.
Cons
Leaks are everywhere, in the brake lines and oil lines. Serpentine belt did not last too long. Starter has already been replaced. It rusts easily. The rear passenger door does not open.
