2007 Dodge Nitro - Reliable car, small features
Both of us have used this as our primary vehicle at different times. My partner used it as a work truck and put it through its paces. It held up well to his constant, dirty, heavy, and gross work as a veterinarian. He was able to fit a vet box in the back of the hatch, but the back seat needed to be laid down. He was able to make the suspension stronger and adjust the lights to make up for the constant load in the trunk. I use it as a daily vehicle for me and two children. It easily fits two car seats and all of our items. The height of the car makes it easier for me and for them to see around but more difficult to get the car seat in and out. I have not experienced any problems from previous use.
Story
Many, many people have this model in this area (though we did not live here when we purchased it). We often have a hard time figuring out which is ours!
Pros
We like the height off the ground, the large trunk space, how fast the heater warms up, the electrical plug in back areas, and its general size.
Cons
The windows are very small; it is hard to see out and around. The dealership broke the window/lock panel, so it is hard to use. Some of the windows cannot be used by the driver. The spare tire area is difficult to access.
