2016 Dodge Journey - Great family car.
This a great car if you are looking for seating for 7. It has a few hidden compartments for storage. I love that the seats fold completely flat, including the passenger seat. The doors also open all the way in the back so it makes it very easy for someone to get into the third row. It handles amazingly, like a car almost. It has amazing get up and go. There are almost no blind spots.
Story
It has been very fun to take on family mini trips. The third row folds easily and effortlessly to accommodate anything that is needed to put back there.
Pros
I love the hidden compartments and the fact that the one under the passenger seat doubles as a cooler. I love the extra cup holders in the doors. I love the fact that the doors open all the way in the back so it's easy for someone, even and adult, to climb in the back. It has great pick up and handles very well.
Cons
Honestly there isn't too many negative things about the car. I would say I don't like how the lights aren't automatic. It seems this is a trademark of dodge though. I also wish the very back windows would open up like the day on older trucks so you could get some airflow. I wish the third row had a bit more leg room. It would also be nice if the USB port was in the front.
2015 Dodge Journey - Good for large groups
I like it is low maintenance. I haven't had many issues with it. It does not have a lot of power. It also has very soft bumpers. I hit a plastic tote going 35 and ruined the grill.
Story
We drove this vehicle out west with four people and it had plenty of room for four. Satellite radio and the large windows made for easy viewing.
Pros
It has adjustable seating for seven people. It is pretty good with gas mileage. You can lay all the back seats down to have extra storage. It has ample car chargers for families. It has extra in seat storage.
Cons
It is not that fast. It does not do well at all in slow or ice conditions. The third-row seating is for small kids as it is cramped and takes any of the trunk space away.
