2008 Dodge Grand Caravan - OK but not luxurious
This van is an average ride for a busy family of 6 plus a cat. Overall, it gets us from point A to point B economically, but I can't say I'd buy it over again.
Story
Fun fact: this van fits 3 Sunshine Radians (narrow) baby seats in the back row.
Pros
This van has lots of room. The trunk holds a ton of groceries. All the passengers have ample leg room, and the 2 front seats slide easily forward and backward on demand. My favorite feature is the stow-and-go seating: all 5 non-front row seats fold down into the floor for hauling large items.
Cons
The repairs on this van can be a pain. We seem to go through a set of brakes on a yearly basis. Often the calipers stick, leading to a noisy ride and yet another repair. In addition, random items vibrate and make noise in the front control panel.
2003 Dodge Grand Caravan - Good used car
This has been a great used car for my family. I purchased it with 178,000 miles. I am now up to 270,000 and the only major work was transmission (which is common for many vehicles) I have taken care with routine oil changes. Minor work, water pump, thermostat, and electric window. If wasn't for the fact that the new crossover's that seat 7 - I really was prepared to purchase again.
Story
This little car has taken well care of my family. It was a daily driver for me to work. I don't recall a moment when this car got me stuck with my kids!
Pros
The most positive thing about this vehicle is that I really haven't put much unnecessary money into car. I have really gotten my money's worth.
Cons
I had to replace the transmission within the first year
