2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - A good investment
This has been a great van for me and my family. I researched this van a small amount before I purchased it. I was looking for a van and I found this one on a used car lot with very few miles on it. It has been an extremely reliable vehicle for us. It has only been to the mechanic for very minor repairs. It has a comfortable ride, and isn't very flashy...but very dependable. I think if given the chance I would purchase another one. It does better than average on gas for a minivan. I think that this has been a very reliable vehicle for us. We have been pleased with how well it has held up.
Pros
I like the stow and go features in the floorboard. We are always putting stuff in those compartments when we go on vacations or long trips. They come in handy. The DVD player has also helped to keep my children's attention whether we are going around the block or traveling long distances.
Cons
There are only a handful of things that have given us issues. The first thing is the power windows. Both of the windows motors have gone out, and even after a replacement...the driver's side is still giving me trouble. Also the reservoir for the steering fluid has been leaking.
2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - Reliable Van
This has been a very reliable van. I have over 140,000 miles on it. I have had little to no trouble with it. I have tried to take very good care of the van. I have had a few things break down, but the repairs have been very inexpensive. It isn't the most appealing looking van, but it has been very reliable. It was a great option at the time that I brought it. There weren't many vans like this one whenever I purchased it used back in 2006.
Story
We took this van to the beach one year, and the space was great for the trip.
Pros
This van has been very reliable, and the maintenance on the vehicle has been very reasonable. It has great storage capacity, and is pretty good on gas mileage.
Cons
I have had to replace the radiator fan, and the fuel pump. I have also had issues with the van headliner falling down. The power windows have also failed, and the driver's side won't roll down any more.

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan - Salsburys Dodge City Baton Rouge
Salesman was responsive to my phone call and found vehicles I was interested in before I arrived at the dealership. He was courteous, respectful and pleasant, without being pushy or overbearing. He was very professional and knowledgeable about his products and the process for purchasing a used vehicle.
