I bought my 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Used in 2003. It looked new but had nearly 100k miles on it at that time. I was impressed at how responsive it was and it had more power than I would have guessed. I liked its design and features with sliding doors on both sides and easily removable rear seats for cargo hauling. The front bucket seats were very comfortable and could be adjusted easily. This was also a plus. I also remember being quite impressed about how quiet it was. Started and idling I could not even hear the engine when standing outside of the vehicle next to the hood.
Story
One summer my clan (family, friends) decided to tube down the Alsea river in Oregon just for fun. I loaded up a bunch of tubes in the back of my van and went to air them up at a local gas station. Afterward I drove to a nearby boat launch where we were gathering to depart, but when we tried to get the tubes out of my van they would not budge. I had inflated them in the van and they had gotten ... (more)
Pros
The best things about this van are that it can haul 7 people comfortably, the rear seats come out easily to haul cargo, The engine is more than powerful enough to handle steep inclines and accelerate quickly, The front seats remain comfortable even on long drives, both the heater and the A/C work very well and are personally adjustable for both driver and passenger and front and back, and finally, you can fit full sized sheets (4 x8) of plywood in the cargo area with the seats out. The very best thing about this van, however, is that over the 15 + years that I have owned it, it has never b... (more)
Cons
One problem with this van is that the sway bar to suspension attachment tends to wear out quickly. I have replaced these 3 times but they are fairly cheap so it is only a minor inconvenience. The only other thing I don't like is that it only gets 15 to 20 MPG. I really wish its fuel economy was better.

The vehicle is very spacious. It has room for me, my spouse, and our three children. The seats are easy to remove for cleaning, which is phenomenal because with three kids there's always more cleaning. The durability is satisfactory, as it has over 200,000 miles on it and I have not yet had to do any major repairs. The ride is smooth and the interior is very comfortable. Keeping it cool in the summer is difficult due to the way not all of the windows open. Gas mileage is satisfactory for the size of the vehicle. The console is very handy as it's big enough to keep any accessories I may need to store. The electric controls on the drivers seat are convenient and allow adjustment for maximum comfort. The back storage area is large and accommodates my grocery shopping trips sufficient... (more)
Story
We took a day trip to the beach a few hours away and due to the spaciousness we were able to bring home a few buckets of sand to play with.
Pros
The vehicle is spacious and has plenty of room for kids and their baggage. The electric seats and doors are convenient.
Cons
Not all windows open. Turning into parking spaces is more difficult due to the size.
