2006 Dodge Durango - Very satisfied
I actually bought a 2006 Dodge Durango brand new off of a dealership parking lot. I have been very satisfied with it. It just rolled over 100,000 miles and I haven't had any mechanical trouble to speak of (knock on wood). I would be happy to purchase another one. I love the make and model of this one.
Story
My most memorable story is going camping in the woods and stretching out in the back with the seats folded down. It was nice and roomy, but I was stiff the next morning.
Pros
I love my Durango, it is nice and roomy on the inside. The seats are nice and comfy with plenty of drink holders. It is awesome that it has a 3rd row back seat. It is also nice that you can fold down the 3rd row seat when you go grocery shopping. It is also nice for when you go camping so you can carry chairs and coolers. I have even slept in the back with 2nd and 3rd rows seats folded down when we went camping. While everyone else was toughing it out on the ground, I was nice and dry in the back of my Durango stretched out. There is even room for a great Dane / Pyrenees dog mix to go the ... (more)
Cons
The biggest downfall of this vehicle is the gas mileage. I only get 14-16 miles per gallon. The silver trim that is around my grill has also started wrinkling up and trying to peel. I actually thought it was metal until it started doing this. You would think as much as you pay for a vehicle that the materials would be a little better quality. Also I wish the bumpers were a little better quality. I know you could always add on different ones but the ones that came on it are not the best when someone hits you in the rear.
2004 Dodge Durango - A big maintenance pain
This is the second Dodge Durango that I have owned, and it is the second one that has had transmission problems. It can be a bit finicky while trying to switch gears. Also, the breaks have had constant problems with squeaking that I've never been able to get fixed at the shop. The bumpers are made of tissue paper, and it rusts horribly. Overall, what I paid for it is fair considering the use that I've gotten out of it. The trunk is spacious when the far back seats are folded down, and it fits a good amount. It is also a good option for towing capacity and seating a fair number of people. As a commuter vehicle, I wouldn't recommend it because the gas mileage is so poor. I get maybe 14 mpg combined highway/city. For a fourteen-year-old car, it's still driving well. So I can't complain to... (more)
Story
Trying to drive my boyfriend to work in the city while the roads were icy, and despite having the awd turned on, this car still managed to do a complete 180-degree spin on a residential road going 15 mph. That was a fun time.
Pros
Spacious. Good towing capacity. Handles well. Sits high off the road.
Cons
Transmission is flaky. Power locks unreliable. Bumper dents like paper. Poor gas mileage. Expensive to maintain.

2014 Dodge Caravan - Larry H Miller Dodge Ram Avondale
I had a long conversation with the salesman over the phone before coming in to the dealer. I had a difficult financing situation and I didn't want to waste my time at the dealer for hours if we weren't going to be able to get the deal done. The salesman was great, he wasn't pushy or obnoxious. I got the vehicle I wanted for a fair price.
2005 Dodge Grand Caravan - Larry Miller Dodge Peoria
They gave me a great price and we did it all over the phone. They did not try any tricks or play any games. The car I got had way more features than I thought I could afford. I got leather seats and automated everything. He got us in and out of the dealership in time to make it to my daughter's ballet recital. When I got home, I got a message from another dealership that I went to, who laughed and my request for the basic model at $25000, and I got my car for $21400!
