I have owned my 2001 Dodge Durango for 4 years now It had 102,000 miles on it and I purchased it for $2500. It now has 165,000 miles on it. I originally purchased this SUV in New Hampshire and it has had quite a bit of rusting because of the original location. Regardless of the rusting this truck has been through work commuting 60 miles a day and two road trips (total of 2500 miles put together) This may sound terrible to the average car owner but I have had times when I just have neglected to do an oil change for this SUV, I think I'm at 11 months now since the last one and it still runs great. It is very reliable and a work horse when you need it to be. When I moved to south Carolina with this SUV I towed a U-Haul trailer all the way from NH to here without an issue. I highly recomme... Story
My 2 road trips from NH to SC were very fun and memorable. The most memorable part was getting detoured off the highway into NY city at 1am with the uhaul trailer on. We got stuck in the city for 2 hours. Having the trailer on this SUV made it a nightmare at times. But luckily the truck is very comfortable so we made it through without getting too frustrated and we can laugh about it now.
Pros
Large V8 (5.7 Liter) Engine Can tow 1,000 lbs in a trailer easily. Air Conditioning could freeze you out in the middle of July and heating could melt you in January. Despite neglect of maintenance, still remains reliable. In my opinion it has a very smooth ride for an SUV. Seat are quite comfortable
Cons
Lots of nooks and crannies to start rust locations especially if you live in northern states. Gas mileage is not ideal (17 mpg average highway) My wife took a while getting used to the size of this SUV. It is quite large. Not a con for me, but it was for her and could easily be for others. Blower fan for heating and cooling has a small inexpensive coil that will blow easily if its the stock one.

2004 Dodge Durango - Acceptable, if that's what you need.

I bought this vehicle because I needed room for a lot of people. I also really like Dodge in general. I do not like the body design, however. It makes the vehicle look fat and bulky. I also hate the fact that the only keyhole is in the driver's side door. It's a pain if you're on the passenger side and need to open it or if you need to open your trunk. My key fob sucks, otherwise I probably wouldn't care all that much. It's nice that it has climate controls for the rear of the vehicle, but it takes forever for the back of the vehicle to warm up or cool down. It seems to have a flat spot where it doesn't want to speed up unless you press hard on the accelerator. And then when you're turning, it can have a little hiccough (hard to describe-but like engine isn't in sync with transmission)... (more)
Story
One time, we decided to go for a drive with our kids. We drove down to Canon City and drove it over Skyline Drive. Skyline drive is a really cool overlook of the city.
Pros
It seats seven people, and the middle row folds down on either side. You can fold the third-row seat for more cargo space. It has more space than a Chevrolet Tahoe. I also like that it comes with AWD standard and has an option for four-wheel drive (they are two different things).
Cons
Transmission kickdown. Turning. Body design. Only one keyhole. 4.7L engines are prone to oil sludge buildup. Needs wide turn radius if u-turning in street. Climate control takes longer to catch up to rear passengers.

I spend two days looking for a vehicle, at different Buy Here Pay Here dealerships. Due to my poor credit rating it was very difficult to find a good price or a decent rate. Sullivan Motor Co. Was the best choice for me because they were able to find a bank that would finance me. Even-though, its at a very high interest rate. Is a lot better than paying for a car and not being able to grow from it.

Great customer service. They really listen and make things easy. Even if we go to another "Larry Miller" location we have the same experience. They were even offered to wash my other vehicle when I was there getting the one I bought from them serviced. Also, we have purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership and I always feel as if the salesperson/manager is honest and really trying to do the right thing.
