I love my Durango truck because it handles very well in winter months. We had a blizzard about 2 years ago and it was so bad that we the state was declared State Of Emergency, that's when no one is allowed to be on the road and if you do, at your own risk. My Durango was out on the road helping those other vehicles that were stranded. The vehicle is so roomy and fits about 8 people I have to full benches in the back, with temperature controller for the passengers in the back. I wouldn't trade my truck in for nothing. The only negative about my Durango is it is a gas guzzler. I spend at least 70 dollars a week to get a full tank. Other than that I love my truck!
Story
All my kids learned how to drive in my truck.
Pros
Handles well during the winter months. I can easy fit about 8 people in my truck. I love that fact that the back seat passengers can control the temperature settings to their liking. It has cup holders and it's pretty roomy as well. It has the capabilities of removing the 2 benches in the back if I wanted to move some misc. items.
Cons
The gas can be very costly and the electrical functions on this particular vehicle has a tendency of going out and sensors are easy triggered by very cold weather and if you go thru high flood waters you will experience some electrical issues. One thing I wish the vehicle did have was the option to plug in your cell phone to play to play your downloaded music.

2000 Dodge Durango - It's the best SUV I've owned. Roomy. Comfortable.

The 2000 Dodge Durango is a great vehicle. It's stylish for its time, drives well, and has plenty of storage space. I've owned it for five years now and have yet to have a major issue with it. It's a durable vehicle that has lasted through the abuse of an iron worker hauling tools and trailers to job sites on a daily basis.
Story
One memorable story is of a camping trip I took with a buddy. Loaded tents, fishing gear, firewood, and headed to the forest for the weekend. The picture of a campfire, tents popped, and the truck sitting there is etched in my mind.
Pros
My favorite features of the 2000 Dodge Durango are the space, towing capacity, the comfort of the seats, and the ease in which it handles. Having four-wheel drive in the northern United States is a plus. The sound system is adequate.
Cons
The oil filter is impossible to get off when changing the oil. If/when the bearings go out, you have to change the entire hub assembly. This makes a ten dollar do-it-yourself job into a seventy-five dollar job. The gas mileage is horrendous. I average 15 miles per gallon. The controls for the air conditioner/heater are behind the shifter making it difficult to use. The original stereo doesn't last long.
