The Durango is a vehicle that drives excellent in snow and bad weather conditions. I got this 2003 at a high price in my opinion, but it seems to be in good shape, and the 4-wheel drive works very well. It has been sold to me with mostly basic attributes. I do not require any special features, but I must say I really liked my 2002 Durango better than this one. However, the 2003 seems to use about the same gas and pricing for insurance is very manageable because it's an older vehicle. I would recommend a Dodge Durango to anyone looking for more space and hauling capabilities.
Story
I was driving threw a crazy snow storm in Wisconsin, and the Dodge Durango made it threw without any issues.
Pros
The best part about my vehicle is the weight and drivability in bad weather. I feel like the Dodge Durango is a tank and find myself very comfortable behind the wheel.
Cons
Make sure to check all aspects of the vehicle before purchase. My Dodge Durango works very well; however, the check engine light seems to go on and off regularly.

2004 Dodge Durango - Poor design

This car was nice when it was brand new, but it degrades quickly over time.
Story
It gets snowy, and this car has 4wd, which means I shuttle everyone around in it.
Pros
It's spacious and comfortable. Sits high on the road and have a large field of vision.
Cons
I've had problems with the transmission for years, and the blind spots are awful. It gets maybe 12 mpg based on my calculations, which is a major pain if you're trying to save money or take long trips without stopping. The design of the vehicle is so bad you have to take it in to the shop just to have simple tasks like headlamp bulb replacement. One time, I stopped to put in some oil and couldn't figure out how to open the hood. About five people tried to help, but none of them could figure it out either. It's just bizarre.
