Handsome exterior design, but not too trendy/mainstream. Flexible interior space, with third row seat, and multiple seating configurations. Adequate trunk space even when third row is utilized. Great storage with hidden compartments and plenty of cup holders. Rear A/C ventilation was designed well, and completely necessary. Smooth driving experience with firm steering (not touchy). It does not feel like you are driving a large vehicle and U-turns are made with ease. Interior amenities are basic, cloth upholstery, manual seats, regular key ignition, and no Bluetooth. However, the vehicle comes standard with a quality sound system. There are several recalls on this model year, one that caused an under hood fire.
Story
A friend and I went on an off road adventure. We were headed to a backcountry remote location for a private firearm training class. After a couple wrong turns, we found ourselves on an ATV trail. Windows down, and radio blaring, it was all a part of the adventure. There was limited cell reception, but we eventually got to our destination. Better yet, we had a story to tell when we got there.
Pros
Unlike a Chevy Tahoe, or Cadillac Escalade, the Dodge Durango is not mainstream, and that is why I was drawn to it. The exterior design is stylish, but different. It is nice having the third row seat when traveling with family or friends. I feel safe in a larger vehicle.
Cons
There were several recalls on this particular model year. My vehicle actually caught fire while waiting in a drive thru line! It was connected to a recall issue with the alternator. The manufacturer repaired everything for free. There is an issue with a brake rod, that should be added to the list of recall items. It has been repaired twice already and it needs repair again.

I absolutely LOVE my Durango. I just had an issue with a leak and it was fixed quickly and still under warranty. I didn't think I had any warranty left, but Dodge did me right!
Story
We took it on a long trip and had no issues whatsoever.
Pros
I have three rows of seats, power lift gate, video screen, hard disk drive, power everything, I love it.
Cons
There have been a few recalls, but nothing that wasn't fixed.
