My Dodge Durango has been, by far, the best car I have ever owned. Typically, I would purchase a new car every couple of years in the past. However, this car has been so great I cannot bring myself to get rid of it or replace it with another. The quality of the make of the car beyond exceeded what I ever expected from an American-made car, even more so as the miles have piled on. I now have 109,000 miles on the car. Even with that high of mileage, it still rides very smooth and feels tight. There is very little shaking, noises, or any sort of things typically related to cars that are older with high miles. In fact, my car rides far better than my moms 2014 Chevy, even she agrees with me in there is less road noise, less shaking, and the car just feels more solid overall. The ins... (more)
Story
Going to the drive-in theater. My kids and I have made some really fun memories in this car at the drive-in theater. I have also made some really fun memories with friends and groups as well.
Pros
I love that I have the limited package with all the extras that were offered in the 2008 year model. I love the little details of the chrome moldings on the outside, the interior extras, and how they dress up the car compared to that of a non-limited model. The comfort exceeds that of most other full-size SUVs that I have ridden in. The seats seam softer, and the leg room is totally sufficient. Even when the third row is up, the leg room is more than a lot of other SUVs I looked at when I made the purchase of this vehicle. In fact, that was one of the selling points as well as the comf... Cons
My biggest con to the Dodge Durango is that of gas mileage. Never have I got what they claim I will get in the purchasing paperwork, and for the size of the car, I really feel like the gas mileage should be a bit better than what I do get with it. That is my biggest issue and really my only complaint.

The interior options are very abundant and the seating is plus. the interior is nice but not over kill. I dislike the location of the battery under the hood. the vehicle also has a few minor mechanical issues which I will state in the cons.
Story
We drove the Vehicle to Missouri, for a sibling graduation. we just bought the vehicle and showed up to the in laws for the graduation. The family liked it so much we all 8 rode into St. Louis in the Durango to save money on gas and parking, it was fun and memorable.
Pros
Interior heated seats help with my lower back, the easy out feature also helps. My model the limited has the assisted rear hatch which is amazing as a father who has children with him, while shopping, and also helps loading other cargo. The adjustable pedals help with my lower back and nerve impingement. The vehicle handles surprisingly well and the braking system is above par. Third row seating is another seller for this vehicle. The dual climate helps with the wife and I disagreeing about comfort levels. I also love the controls for the radio on the steering wheel please don't get ride o... (more)
Cons
Gas mileage could be better, its only a five speed and I imagine an 8 speed would be much more efficient. The vehicle has a less than expected water pump life which I have had to replace. the vehicle also is prone to burn and leak oil. the Curb weight of the vehicle has caused some issues in my driveway. the battery location makes removing and installing a battery harder on disabled people like me due to it being in the highest location possible.
