Dodge Dakota Owner Ratings & Reviews

2006 Dodge Dakota - Solid gas-guzzling work truck.
Overall, the Dodge Dakota served me well for about five years. It was a solid piece of machinery that didn't let me down and made multiple cross-country road trips. One of the dislikes I had about it was its fuel consumption.
Story
One memorable story I had with this vehicle while using it around my location was driving it cross country multiple times with family members. The experience was most memorable because it was one of the last road trips I took with my family.
Pros
The pros about this vehicle were the cabin size and the power of the engine. Also, the bed was Rhino lined. The towing package also came in handy multiple times with no to little trouble hauling trailers cross country.
Cons
The top negative about the vehicle was the fuel consumption, and the manual stick shift while driving in the city. It became a hassle, and the main reason that I traded it in once I moved to the city.
2007 Dodge Dakota - Reliable Midsize Truck
This truck has been a steady workhorse for several years. It gets better gas mileage than average for a truck and is pretty cheap to maintain. The more stuff you put in it, the better it handles as well, due to the mixed hydraulic/spring suspension - it handles really tightly.
Story
The cruise control kicks in hard when climbing hills, so we named it Ricky Bobby, after his trademark "I wanna go fast!"
Pros
Sharp styling, comfortable Very reliable and low maintenance
Higher gas mileage than average for trucks
Good hauling capacity
Tight, responsive controls
Cons
I'm smaller than average and this truck is designed for average-sized people
Road noise can be pretty loud
The AC output line can drip back into the body at speed or in windy conditions but it's a simple modification
