2010 Dodge Caliber - A very nice ride
The Caliber is a nice little car that gets us where we want to go. It gets fair gas millage but sometimes doesn't have the size or power that we would like to have. I absolutely love the features of this car! Great car overall. Great AC and heat. Love the extra phone jacks and it travels well. Good for family trips.
Story
I bought this car over six months ago, and I absolutely love it! The car is great on gas, especially when I have to drive to school in PA. It is extremely roomy, comfortable and reliable. Back in March I got cut off and hit a guardrail on the parkway, bounced across three lanes or traffic, and thanks to this car, I was able to walk away from the accident with no injuries. For the price you pay... (more)
Pros
This car met all of my needs. Very spacious front seat, back seat, and trunk space. Great gas mileage and low insurance for it. Very comfortable and reliable. I really enjoy driving this car. For a four cylinder, I was surprised at how fast I was able to get up to hwy speeds. I commute 100 miles round trip daily and get great gas mileage out of it.
Cons
It does everything so well, but it has no get up and go. When you live near a big city and have to get on the highway, you have to have the get up and go! Honestly, the only reason I didn't purchase another (I moved far enough away to where I sold my car and flew). It's reliable and handles the excessive miles very well (bought at 74,000 miles, sold at 150,000 miles still running perfect). It can also take a hit. I was rear-ended by two cars simultaneously. I was stopped, and they both tried to cut someone off and hit my car. My Caliber still looked perfect and ran amazing!
2007 Dodge Caliber - Good for the price.
Good car for the price. It looks good and runs good. Has quite a bit of get up and go for a four-cylinder vehicle. It is not luxurious or fancy, but it is a good, solid, reliable vehicle. It is fairly simple as far as the features go, nothing complicated, just all the basic necessities. It's good for people who just like an easy, simple interior. It's not like some cars where it takes you a week or so to learn how to use everything. It is a hatchback, so you have quite a bit of storage space. When the seats fold down, it gives you even more room or a good area for your pet to travel in. It's kind of like a mini SUV. I guess it would be called a Crossover. The stock stereo is pretty good. The volume is pretty good, and the sound is nice and clear. You can also hook up auxil... (more)
Story
I had to take a long trip with my dog. I was worried at first, but he had plenty of room to move around and lay down and spread out in the back. It turned out to be a good trip.
Pros
It looks good, has a decent amount of power and a decent amount of room inside. It's pretty comfortable to drive.
Cons
It does not get as good of MPG as I expected. The front windshield is kind of positioned bad. You cannot get too close to a stoplight, or you can't see it without ducking your head down.
