2011 Dodge Avenger - Reliable and fast.
This car has a lot of engine power and smooth ride. It has a sporty look without being gaudy. It handles very well in rough, wet weather. It corners well and the steering is very responsive at freeway speeds. The interior is roomy and sleek/not fussy looking and the road noise levels are negligible. The 2.4L inline 4 with the 4 gear auto transmission with overdrive provides great fuel economy on the highway but bad fuel economy in the city. The acceleration is on the low end of things but it looks beautiful and huge bang for its money. This car has personality. She's bright red in the sun, bright red in the dark. she pulls to 0-60mph/100kph in 6 seconds, and does a 7.0L per 100km at normal highway speeds. Story
We went out looking at other Chrysler products, but were not totally impressed with the two we had in mind. My wife saw an Avenger in the showroom, and almost literally fell in love. Pros
This is an excellent road trip car and since I spend a lot of time and miles in mine, I look forward to some good times. You will get lots of compliment. I have gotten 8,000 miles between my first two oil changes.
Cons
The Avenger has a higher accident rating when compared to other cars. My opinion is that it is due to the responsive engine. The rotors heat up too quickly and, while the car stops as it should, this causes a terrible shudder.
2011 Dodge Avenger - Love
I got this car used with about 30000 when it was a year old. I had driven my previous car, Mustang Convertible, for almost 13 years and 350,000 miles. So getting a newer car was a big deal for me. I love the fact that this car interior is so quiet. I did not realize how loud my car was. I love all the features especially the styling of this car. I love the sound system, there is a lot of head room(important as I am 6.2") And the seats have a lot of room. I love the handling and the fact that it has been maintenance free. It has been a great car. I guess it has the high end trim package called heat. I thought it had heated seats, but I am silly as it has cloth seats.

I loved when I first got it people were in shock that I got a new car. I had been driving my prior car for years. Pros
I love the look of the car. I love that interior it is red under black "mesh" for lack of a better word. Looks super hot! I love hot it drives, handles well and has more power than my Mustang. The headlights are amazing. The steering is super responsive and it gets great gas mileage.
I do not use it often but It uses E85 so sometimes, when it is 1.00 Per gallon cheaper I may buy it. I love the amount of room in the car and how comfortable the seats are.
Cons
I wish there was a little more room getting in the car. I am super tall though, so probably not an issue for most.
I wish there were fewer of them on the road, it feels a touch ordinary even though it does not drive that way.
The back seats lay down to extend the trunk, I with they lay flatter. I would have loved if it made more of a floor area for my two dogs, as is with the seats down it is awkward for them and they will not go back there.
The lid of the trunk leaks water if it has rained and you open the trunk

2001 Dodge Neon - Doug Chevrolet Akron
They offered discounted cars to fit my budget. The salesman didn't try to sell me on the car, but let us decide to buy. They let us test drive the cars on the expressway to see how they did at high speeds. They did not come on the test drive, we got to do it ourselves. They asked us how much we had to spend on the car after we drove it and worked out a deal with us, even though it was originally priced outside of our budgeted price range.
