After a long history of buying cheap used vans from buy here pay here auto stores I was very excited to be able to purchase a certified pre-owned family van from Car-Max. I mainly choose my Buick Terraza because it could accommodate my family of seven and it had low mileage; 50,000. It had the newer safety features, a spacious interior and a sleek design. I also liked the remote control dual sliding doors and the DVD player. The handling and quiet engine during the test drive sealed the deal. Within 6 months the electronics on the left side of the car died, the abs and traction control lights we're always on, the starter needed replacing and the sliding doors stopped working. It's ironic to look back and remember being concerned about the DVD player breaking.
Story
I have a memorable story. Not fun but funny now that enough time has passed. I was on my way to drop my daughter off at daycare and I was going to be on time for work but I didn't have a lot of leeway. Pros
The design of the vehicle is very nice. It looked and felt more luxurious than the typical family van. I was grateful for the did player during longer trips around town. The engine and transmission have worked well overall. I like the feature on the dash that senses when you need an oil change.
Cons
I did not like the way everything electronic seemed to fall apart after less than a year. The radio controls on the steering wheel, the mirror and seat controls on the driver side we're features I liked but could no longer use. The most infuriating problem was the sliding doors malfunctioning. If I tugged them to close they would open and vice versa. It was maddening.

I like this as an all around car. It's an automatic and isn't hard to get around in. It has a look that will be suitable and sporty for both sexes. It looks powerful, but isn't going to eat gas or get you into trouble for going too fast. I will say that when challenged to a race by a Prius, be careful when you agree - some of those things have more go than you think.
Story
Taking this care down to Key West and subsequently getting it stuck in the mud after the bridge on the way back shows me how much of a low rider this car really is.
Pros
There is actually a built in COOLER in the front dashboard of the passenger side that will fit 20 oz. bottles! The sporty profile of the car is definitely an attention getter. Easily seats 5 people, looks like a compact but is more of a midsize. Mildly tinted windows but nothing aftermarket.
Cons
It looks like a V6 or V8 but is actually a 4-cylinder and is kind of wimpy when you try to put pedal to the metal. The black leather can be blazing hot in the summer and is a nightmare to take care of. Gas mileage for a V4 is not all that great. Low riding, hard to handle in rain and snow. Lack of Bluetooth audio in the stereo makes taking a phone call dangerous.

This dealership was great because they gave great service, which is what i saw lacking in other dealerships. I went to look at the lot for the first time and was greeted by a nice, and not too pushy salesperson. Through the whole buying process they did the best at making it easy and enjoyable. They continue to keep up the great work when i come through the service department to get regular maintenance done on the car.

A lot of dealerships make you feel like you are being fed to the wolves. They sweet talk you make you feel good and then at the end you come out feeling like you lost a battle. I didn't have any of those thoughts or feelings here, from the start they treat you good. First class good, and no bull from them either. You get what you would expect and value.
