2004 Chrysler Sebring - Get the job done.
So far this is a good vehicle. I have not had any major problem with it and I got it two years ago. I usually use it for short commutes, but I have driven it some time for 4 hours trips and it had run perfectly.
Story
Last year, my cousin family came to Tampa to visit for some days. They were planning to rent a car, but their flight was delay and when they arrived they could not find any car available for rent. I have to pick them up, and they were 5 people. When I got to the airport I realized they had 5 big bags and 2 small. I could not believe that we could fit all of them in the trunk and they were not ... (more)
Pros
It is a comfortable car, and to be 2004 it has some useful features like the cruise mode. I also like that it has a lot of space in its interior and it has a big trunk, so it is very useful for big families.
Cons
Consumes too much gas, so it is not convenient for people with long commutes. Also, in case of any repair, its engine does not give any space to be manipulated and the mechanic has to dismantle the entire engine to check it. That makes that any repair very expensive. The style is kind of old.
2009 Chrysler Sebring - Frustrated
At first I was thrilled to get another Sebring. I had one in the past and loved it! But this one was not such a thrill. It had some upgrades to the interior, which I liked a lot, but it did not seem to perform as well. I bought this used. I was told it had no accident history but am thinking that may have been a lie. I had problem after problem with this vehicle. I first had an alignment issue then the brakes needed replacing, then a tire went out three times, same one each time. Problem with the TPS monitor, if I am recalling properly. Just a headache. I enjoy convertibles and loved my last Sebring, but this one has been a problem vehicle for me, and I would not buy another now or recommend it to anyone.
Story
I did take a nice weekend trip to the beach in this car. It was very nice to have the top down and enjoy the nice weather and sunshine.
Pros
The new interior color was nice. It was a nice shade of grey and looked upscale. I also like that it is a convertible. I do like the look of Sebring's. In general, I think they have an attractive body shape and lines.
Cons
All of the repairs and problems that kept occurring. Endless issues.
