Story
I recently drove the car from Virginia to Poughkeepsie NY back in March of 2015. The car did well to and from there. A week later one of my sensors went bad to the point where it was affecting performance. I'm glad it happened back home instead of on that long ride.
Pros
Overall there are a few positive notes to speak on. Inside the vehicle the controls are all labeled and within reach. The heads up display is well lit and easy to understand. Cleaning of the inside of the car is easy and quick. The pedals are firm and responsive. Selt belts are in good working condition. There is no steering wheel shake. The exterior of the car is in good condition. There are a few nicks and scratches but nothing obvious. I 've had no paint work done to the car since I've had it. Cons
Inside the vehicle, space for a grown man is limited. In the summertime the interior can get extremely hot due to its all black interior. The sun visor housing is cheap and will not hold the visor in place as you drive. There are a lot of nooks and crannies in which you can lose your possessions (e.g. Rings) if not careful. The windows, when rolled down, can rattle while moving and shutting the front doors. And the seats can become uncomfortable during long rides. The radio does not feature a aux cord plug in. I purchased my 2006 Chrysler Sebring GTC about 4 months ago, right at the beginning of summer time. I was a bit reluctant at first due to its reputation as a car for females, but I was offered a fantastic deal on a car with only 80k miles. This was too good to pass up. First impressions? Very comfortable. Although it is a convertible, the seats are plush so they don't get too hot like leather. The dash design is pleasing with the white dial backings which make things easy to see. The stock stereo was nothing to write home about which is why I replaced it with a new Kenwood head unit. The mock carbon fiber accents in the GTC are very aesthetically pleasing. Full power seats, power windows, and roof allow ease of access. To put the top down you have to undo two clamps and pull a switch. ... (more)
Story
I live in Milwaukee, WI. There is nothing more fun on the weekend than putting the top down and driving along the lake shore. Between that and the large trunk this is the perfect beach goers vehicle.
Pros
- Easy, fast convertible top. - Decent MPG. - Aesthetics give the appearance of an expensive luxury car. - Fast acceleration. - Very comfortable. - The ladies love it.
Cons
- Poor stock stereo and speakers. - Dash buttons (trunk specifically) failed after a while. - Very low to the ground, not ideal for taller owners. - Technically a 4 seater, but the back two seats have very little leg room. - Very poor paint. It's hard to find pre 2010 Sebrings without chipped paint or rust. Mine is becoming rusted.
