2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser - It's my little snug bug
I found the Chrysler PT Cruise to have limited (wide) turning ability, which makes U-turns difficult to achieve. The car engine is noisy. The small tires make for a bumpy ride for both passengers in the back and front. The high seats make it impossible for a tall person to enter comfortably. The inside cabin has limited leg room. The air conditioning and heating units are only located in the dash of the car, making it difficult to heat and cool the car for passengers. I do like the functionality of the truck for carrying large items and groceries. The two back seats are completely removable. The seats can be removed easily so you can transport a medium-size futon or a tall dresser in the cab of the vehicle. The high-up driver seat makes it possible for a short person to see further dis... (more)
Story
Every Sunday I pick my grandkids up for church in what they call the bat-mo-bil.
Pros
The gas mileage is good. I like the look and style of the vehicle.
Cons
Not enough head room for passengers, and the noisy engine were a take away for me.
2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Sturdy, compact, reliable
The car is solid and has a spacious hatchback. The back seat can hold up to three people, and the front seats are comfortable enough. This is a classic looking vehicle with modern accouterments on the inside. The compact design allows you to fit into compact parking spots (which is a value in Southern California), but it still has the feel on the inside of a larger vehicle. The back seats can fold down to give you more space in the hatchback, and the car is light enough so that I don't feel too intimidated when I have to change a flat tire. Overall, I would say the PT Cruiser from Chrysler was a fine car that they didn't really know what to do with but still sold very well.
Story
I see a lot of cars like mine - especially my color - and it seems to be a popular car that will make you feel included.
Pros
One of my favorite things about this vehicle is its durability and ability to stand up to normal everyday wear and tear. The design is such that it looks classy but still has the rugged feel of a solid vehicle.
Cons
The car has such a compact engine that it makes repairs more work for mechanic, who then passes on that cost to me when I pay my bill. The tires it came with are too small and I get flats a lot, which adds to the cost of maintenance.
