Overall the car is not that bad. However, if you need to do any type of repair on the car it costs a fortune because everything under the hood of the car is compact and hard to get to
Story
When my nephews see me driving they know that the car belongs to me. They see a white PT Cruiser and they yell auntie auntie.
Pros
Runs smoothly and great on gas.
Cons
Must be lifted when most parts go bad on car. Air conditioner always breaks.

I made the mistake of buying a PT Cruiser two years back. Though it had been quite dependable, it has at times bothered me greatly. Currently, it is out of commission, and I'm waiting to get enough cash to install new motor mounts and a new timing belt. That's one big thing that many PT Cruiser owners face around ~100k miles, and I'm currently at 97k. Considering I had the car in late high school and drove it like a maniac, I'd say that's right on schedule. I live five hours away from where I go to school and average about 85 on the highway. I've made probably 30 trips and have had no problems.
Story
We have a dirt trail near the beach that winds through trees, and I took it drifting back there. Great time, but I got my car really dusty and almost wrapped my friend and myself around a tree.
Pros
The interior is relatively cool. Compared to the outside of the vehicle, I think the interior is much more classy and still cool in 2017. The design used to be cool, and I've kept the paint solid with chrome wheels. The car also has a lot of space for transporting things. You can fold up the back row of seats, and it's a relatively large space. I can fit like eight tubas in here, which is very helpful for me as a member of my university's marching band.
Cons
Mechanics hate it. Everything is crammed into a tiny engine bay, and the simplest repairs can be a pain. The motor mounts are set up very odd, and for a timing belt repair, you have to drop the entire motor, which greatly increases the cost of this job. Also goes through tires relatively fast and has the turning radius of a golf cart.

The dealership staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were helpful without being pushy. There was a great selection of cars and when I did not find exactly what I wanted, they had a car shipped to their lot! I love CarMax!
