2011 Chevrolet Traverse - Great spacious vehicle.
The Chevy Traverse is a great family vehicle. It is not a huge vehicle like a Tahoe, suburban, etc., but has plenty of room. The traverse is equipped with third row. The vehicle is very spacious. Even an adult can sit comfortably in either of the back two rows just like they would in the passenger seat. The quality of the finishes and details inside and out the vehicle are impeccable. Overall this is a luxury vehicle without the luxury price tag!
Story
We drove our family on a road trip from Georgia to Indiana in this vehicle. It was great because we had the did player for the kids and everyone was able to sit comfortably the whole ride.
Pros
The overall best pro of the vehicle is the space. Regardless of what seat you have in the vehicle you are riding comfortably. We have sat seven comfortably on multiple trips with no complaints. The gas mileage is over all a pro considering the third row competitors in its class. A big pro for us as a family is the amount of compartments, and storage space in the vehicle. The vehicle is also equipped with navigation and a rear back up camera. The edition I have also has leather interior and did system built in.
Cons
One major con is that there are issues with the motor mount, which seems to be very common among this model. Another con is the sun roofs, they have a screen covering them instead of a full cloth cover, this causes the sun to still beat down, and sometimes make the temperature increase in the vehicle. It is also an inconvenience that their is a second sun roof, but it doesn't open it is just for looks.
2011 Chevrolet Traverse - Chevy Traverse
Overall, I have enjoyed my Chevy Traverse. Although I have had a few issues with it, it has been a good vehicle.
Story
I was able to fit two small kayaks in the car and me and my daughter went kayaking on the river.
Pros
The Traverse has tons of room, and my family can fit comfortably in the vehicle. It has two front seats and two bucked seats in the middle and a back seat. I can comfortably seat seven people in this car. The seats also let down for cargo. Even the middle seats fold down to accommodate big items. The paint job and interior has held up good over the years. The car gets decent gas mileage for the size.
Cons
There are a few cons. First of all, it rolls backwards if you are on a steep incline. I took it back to the dealership the first day I got it, and they told me it was because of the ecological transmission. The next issue I had is a small leak in the A/C that began around year four. I have to take it in to have Freon refilled every summer. The last issue I had has been the speakers go in and out this began around year six. I can no longer use the Bluetooth for my phone because of this.
