2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Poor quality
I have an '07 Chevy Trailblazer that I very strongly dislike. Taking the car for a short test drive nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but it didn't take long after to find out how poor of quality it was. I thought the SUV would have been big enough to hold quite a bit, but it is actually quite small. I have another SUV that appears to be smaller but can fit much more than the Trailblazer. The performance has been terrible. On a good day I can get 17 mpg, which I think is terrible for a smaller SUV. The engine also cuts out on me all the time. After bringing it to a few mechanics, they recommend me trading it instead of trying to find an obscure problem.
Story
I took this SUV through a bad snow and ice storm. It was white knuckle driving for miles, but we made it through. It was good I had 4wd that day.
Pros
The leather seats are nice and the heated seats works really well on cold days.
Cons
Basically everything else. The looks, performance and comfort are all subpar. The cheap plastic interior is quite a bit less quality than other vehicles I own.
2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Trailblazer is still going strong
The interior is clean and there are no issues so far. I bought it with 120,000 miles on it and have put on approximately 10,000 miles since. It drives great and doesn't produce any weird noises. The seats are really comfy. It has xm radio, CD player, and OnStar. Great purchase!
Story
I haven't had it long, so I can't really think of anything.
Pros
The Trailblazer has comfy seats, xm radio, powerful A/C and heat, and it drives smoothly. It has 4 wheel drive, which is great in the snow, and it has a tow package which really comes in handy. It's very roomy. My kids have plenty of room in the backseat and the trunk space is huge, much bigger than my Cherokee.
Cons
The only negative things that I really have to say are that it did not come with power pedals (I'm short and my Cherokee had this, which was nice), the tires need to be replaced as I bought it used, the gas mileage isn't great, and the speakers could be better... much better. Also, I'm a Jeep girl, so this was not my first choice but it's ok.
