2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Pretty good vehicle
I like trucks so this was perfect. I bought it used so I was able to fix it up how I wanted. It got me to many places in the snow and up steep hills in the winter. I love my truck, it's a nice size also. I can fit up to 4 kids, car seat included and I can put all type of furniture in my vehicle too. I don't like how expensive some parts are to get it fixed but it's needed.
Story
I got stuck on my birthday, on ice, in the winter. I could only reverse down the hill and hope no other cars were coming.
Pros
It's spacious and can fit multiple items. It runs well and saves on gas. I love the power windows and how big the trunk is. I can adjust my seat so I feel tall while I'm driving.
Cons
My 4WD just stopped working in the middle of winter when I was stuck in the snow. If its too cold out, I'll have to wait until it warms completely or unlock my doors & windows manually. The parts needed to be replaced are a bit expensive.
2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Reliable and a great value.
My Trailblazer has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I've only had minor issues (knock on wood) to this point in ten years of ownership. The only thing I wish were better is the MPG; however, I knew exactly what I signed up for when purchasing a 4x4 with a V6.
Story
I've had a few instances of driving in inclement weather (snow and ice), and being able to pop on 4WD and drive out of any potentially concerning situation, has been great.
Pros
The comfort, drive, and build quality of the Trailblazer are easily my favorite things about it. The mid-range towing power and 4x4 flexibility, while being available in a V6 and being under $30k are my favorite features. You cannot buy a mid-size SUV with those options anymore.
Cons
The top negative about the Trailblazer is the gas mileage. That is honestly the only complaint I have after ten years of ownership.
