2001 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - Solid Vehicle That Lasts.
I liked the vehicle because it was really versatile and great for road trips. It had a lot of room for my family and it did great on the highway as well. One of the only things I didn't like about it was that for some reason it didn't come with a option to turn the parking lights on only. This comes in handy during the holidays but for some reason this vehicle did not have the option.
Story
When we first got that car, we went on a road trip to California. The trip was our first long road trip as a family and the vehicle performed great along the way.
Pros
The vehicle had very little problems and we never really had to take it to the shop. We keep up with the regular maintenance and had a couple of break jobs and regular things like that but that is it. The back cabin was really spacious and the vehicle handled road-trips and off road driving really well.
Cons
The only thing that was really irritating was the lack of an option to put the parking lights on. It is weird that it did not have this option on board the vehicle. One of the other cons was that the car did not have a moon roof like most other models. This problems are all mostly cosmetic however, the car's performance was always good.
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - Nice but some minor issues.
It preformed well and overall I like it. The color I choose was a little difficult and their were a few issues that popped up along the road but I guess some of those can attributed to the overall lifespan of the vehicle and what it saw on the road.
Story
We had a lot of good times but our trip to the Grand Canyon stands out. It was the first year we had the car and it was a big upgrade over traveling the country in our previous vehicle.
Pros
My favorite thing about the vehicle was that it was good for both off-road camping and city driving. My family often went on camping trips in the middle of no where so a vehicle that was also reliable in the ever changing mountain climate was a plus for us.
Cons
For some reason our Trailblazer did not come with a control to dim to the parking lights only. This is only a minor problem except during the holidays when we would drive around as a family looking at Christmas lights and blinding all the other families views with our headlamps because we couldn't dim them.
