I am really enjoying my 2003 Chevrolet Tracker. It is really sporty and fun to drive. I have had it for years. I purchased it when it was almost new. It only had ten thousand miles on it at the time. I purchased it because I had previously had a older model of the same car, and I had enjoyed that car as well. I thought it was a really great purchase for the amount of money. It was really good deal!
Story
One memorable story that I have about this vehicle is I did take a summer off and use the vehicle to travel around the country with a small pop-up trailer. The vehicle had very good towing capacity for such a small trailer. I had a lot of fun and went too many different places. In the mountains for North Dakota, Great Lakes. We went to Coeur d'Alene in Idaho and Mount Rushmore. We had a lot o... (more)
Pros
My top favorite thing about this vehicle was that it had excellent gas mileage. It was absolutely fantastic in the snow as it was a four-wheel drive. I drove it in the snow for many years. Snow and ice and all kinds of winter weather. The convertible top was a lot of fun! It had to really great maneuverability and ability to take out the back seats for extra storage was very helpful. It was surprisingly zippy for being only a four cylinder and had a lot of pick up and go. It was really good on the highway and very comfortable to drive.
Cons
The only cons I felt about vehicle were is that it does have limited storage space, even if you do take the back seats out. The rear window zipper function on the convertible top is likely to have some issues after the vehicle gets to be a year or two old . You want to make sure to avoid such issues.

2003 Chevrolet Tracker - This vehicle exceeded my expectations and didn't disappoint me.

From the moment I purchased this vehicle for myself I was impressed with the way that it handled. I have difficulty getting in and out of vehicles because of my cerebral palsy and this vehicle was high enough off the ground that it didn't bother me to much. Rather then having to climb out of the vehicle as I did with my old car before this I can easily step in and out of the vehicle with little to no effort. It has performed well in all types of weather and the windshield wipers have performed beyond my expectations.
Story
I would have to say that one of the most memorable stories about this particular vehicle was shortly after I got it. I was in my grandparents front yard washing and waxing it and had to crawl onto the top of the roof to wax it because I was to short to reach it. In the process of doing so my grandmother sprayed me with the garden hose. I think the fact that this event is so funny is why it sta... (more)
Pros
A great feature about this car is the fact that it's headlights provide a wide range of light width. Before I had trouble driving at night in large part due to low beams and a small width of bean light, but with this tracker those two problems have been eliminated. The car itself gets up to speed very quickly for an SUV and it also handles a lot better then my old car in adverse weather conditions and has yet to be stuck in the snow in areas where my car would have.
Cons
I don't like the positioning of the side mirrors on the car as my height makes it difficult to see out of them, but overall they are not half bad. I wish that there were automatic locks in the car and power windows to make unlocking the side passenger doors easier or at least a key hole to unlock them from the outside. I also don't like how the air conditioning and heating process is set up as it can be confusing, but after a while I got used to it.
