When the dealership I went to had a Tracker for sale, I jumped on it. I had an older 1994 Geo Tracker which was a pretty cheap and fun vehicle to use. And the fact that this tiny SUV had 4WD was a plus. However, even though I was impressed with the outward appearance of my Chevy tracker 2002, once driving it and realizing what it would to fix it, I was in a world of hurt three years later. After paying off the car ($6,000) it had a series of problems. Brakes, sensors, cheap plastic parts falling off. But I blame myself since I went for a used car with 90 miles on it.
Story
Got stuck in a ditch full of mud. I was taking pictures and just parked it without looking were I was. First thought was it would never get out of that deep mud. But once in 4WD, everything was fine. It could do the job!
Pros
4WD that worked well for the 3 years I had this vehicle. Looked slick, a gray slender SUV that still looked pretty modern thirteen years later. Liked the sensor that turned off all the lights if I forgot to after leaving the vehicle. They no longer make this vehicle that I am aware of.
Cons
Poor suspension. Felt as if the wind would drag me off the road. Handled higher speeds ok but felt unsafe in this car. The emissions sensors for this vehicle are hard to find and very expensive.

When I first saw this car it only had 80,000 miles on it and for being 10 years old that was great. It's a tannish color and has a few scrapes and scratches but the coloring makes that barely noticeable. It's smaller looking and compact but when I get inside it's very comfortable and roomy. The seats can come down in the back, making it easier to haul larger items. It has very large windows all over so it makes the driving comfortable and secure with very little blind spots. I enjoy driving it very much but it's only a four cylinder so it doesn't go very fast quickly. Unfortunately when I took it in it had quite a bit of outdated parts that needed fixing such as the wheel bearing, belts, u bolts and others. It has four wheel drive and works wonders in the snow and off road. It has rece... (more)
Story
Took my first road trip by myself in this vehicle. It's gotten me to quite a few place out of town. Jammed out to the music I had playing.
Pros
Lots of windows, small, usually does well on gas, can haul bigger items. Great four wheel drive.
Cons
Older, windows don't work well. Only a four cylinder. Quite a few outdated things.
