The Suburban has and is the best car I've owned to date. There is so much room for all the car seats. The back storage holds all the Costco trip and a stroller! We have put over 190000 miles on it and it still runs smooth as a dream. There is only one problem I have to complain of, the stereo eats cods. In every other way this is my dream car and I will drive it to the death. The interior is very comfortable. The seats move around for the 3rd row to lay down and make the back flat. We tote hale bales! The body style is still very lovely to look at. I like it better than the new styles.
Story
We took our Suburban to the beach and had t loaded with toys and chairs. The kids had a blast and as we loaded up to get home thy had unloaded a ton of sand inside!. We stopped to eat at the Crab Shack and just had a great time.
Pros
The engine is powerful, the comfort is unparalleled. Love the amount of space the car has to offer. It is a great family car.
Cons
The only thing that bothers me is the cd player has stopped working.

1998 Chevrolet Suburban - Dependable, but not environmentally friendly

I drive a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban. I like that I have the option to transport up to eight people, as well as move large objects. It has low mileage for its age which is probably why it has been such a reliable car. I do not like the fuel economy I get, as I average about 16-17 mpg and I have a longer commute.
Story
I've been able to go camping and sleep in the back instead of in a tent.
Pros
The Chevy Suburban is spacious and is great for trips with more than five people. The back row also comes out and the middle row folds flat, so transporting large objects is possible. It is dependable, and most maintenance and repair is reasonable.
Cons
The biggest con is the gas mileage. I get about 16 or 17 mpg, which is actually above average. The cost of filling the tank is outrageous compared to newer, more fuel efficient cars. It can also be difficult to navigate through traffic/tight spaces, and finding a large enough spot in a crowded parking lot can be tricky.
