Our suburban is good on the road. Not so good on gas but we make up for it by doing less city driving. It does better on gas on the road.
Story
One memorable story for us was when we drove from TX to MI, stayed in MI for one week then drove to NC, SC then Atlanta and stay there for a week. The best summer we've had.
Pros
It's a smooth ride for long road trips. We are able to fit our children in the vehicle and well as our luggage. Enough for extended stays. We've moved ourselves and our family and friends in the vehicle because of the room inside after letting the seats down.
Cons
Not great on gas for city driving. We've had issues with our traction indicator on the vehicle more than three times since we've had it.
