I love this truck. It has pulled numerous heavy loads, and you can't even feel the load!
Story
Everyone oohs and aahs over this truck. It is huge, and catches everyone's' eye.
Pros
Excellent towing capabilities. Little to no road noise. Lots of room inside of the cab.
Cons
Driver seat wears out on the side. Turning radius is terrible, but it is to be expected with the size of the vehicle. Lifters are known to fail.

This truck is a work horse! It has no problems hauling heavy loads and it’s at 250,000 miles. The flat bed that is on it makes for easy access on our ranch for hauling hay, straw, or just throwing equipment in the back. The transmission has never had a problem when shifting while traveling up canyons or down the interstate. The engine has never overheated and has always worked great. We love the fact that it is dependable - it can handle hauling a fully loaded horse trailer in any terrain, and it gets great diesel mileage. There are only a few things we dislike about the truck. A lot of continual maintenance is necessary. We have had this truck for one year and we have had to replace the fuel filter twice, rotate the tires three times because of the way it was wearing, and we h... (more)
Story
The night that we got married, we left this truck on the streets of Jackson Hole and ended up getting a parking ticket!
Pros
One of the best features of this truck is the luxury riding inside. It is a very quiet truck and you can hardly hear the engine, even when it is working hard. The seats are very comfortable and the back seat is big enough to stretch out even the longest of legs. It very comfortably seats 5 people. The stereo is great quality and the speakers work great. Trailers fit great on the build of the truck; trailers sit flat when attached instead of slanting backward like a lot of full ton trucks. Our truck also has a great heater, air conditioner, and heated seats. On average, we get approx... (more)
Cons
We have continually had to replace a lot of maintenance items on the truck (more than usual). The tires wear funny, so we have to make sure we rotate them quite often. We have also had to replace the fuel filter about every 10,000 miles, the air filter every 15,000 miles, and the oil filter every 8,000 miles. We've had to replace every joint in the drive line and get a new yolk because the drive line bent on us. Also within the last year, we have had to replace all the ball joints, the brakes, all rotors, and a few parts to the axles. The maintenance is a little expensive, but only be... (more)

From 19 miles on the odometer when I bought the truck, to 330,000+ miles today, it has been the most dependable truck. I've replaced several things as to be expected on a truck of this age and with this many miles, but it has continued to perform well. The mileage is good for a diesel truck, towing upwards of 16,000 pounds on a regular basis, and averages 13 mpg towing. There is more than enough power to tow the large horse trailer, full of horses for miles and miles up and down the highways. I will say that it did have the expected Chevy transfer case replacement at approx. 130,000 miles, and the fuse box under the hood is not designed to support the amount of running lights trailers are equipped with. The wires melted, and fuse box started on fire. Had to replace fuse box and substit... (more)
Story
Traveling all over the country to barrel races and running into a man with a truck a little older who had 500,000 miles on his and was still hauling.
Pros
Dependability. Sturdiness. Looks. Power. Long life. Towing capabilities.
Cons
Transfer case issues. Rear seals leaking. Fuse panel not equipped to carry load of trailer lights.
