It's just a truck to me. I prefer Fords, but it's comfortable to drive and tows okay. It has a lot of road noise but no major issues. Fuel economy is horrendous at 9 mpg and a small tank finds me filling up everyday. It has towed anything from a empty 6x12 up to a 14k deck over. I purchased a gas model and it presently surprised me.
Story
My kids' face when I arrived home with the truck for the first time. I use it for work I don't have much memorable experiences/stories with it. The brake lines blew at a tractor supply, and it took a few hours to get a tow truck because I had a trailer with me.
Pros
It has very comfortable seats. The styling is nice as well, looks great with 285 tires on it.
Cons
Horrendous gas mileage, a lot of road noise, brake lines rust through and have to be placed. I would also prefer a rack and pinion steering.

2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD - Great all-around truck.

This is a great solid truck. One of the best I've ever owned. I'd recommend Chevrolet as a great all-around brand to anyone. The 2500 model is able to pull anything and is great at pulling a trailer. For being eleven years old, it has held up incredibly well. I've taken very good care of it, and there is still zero rust on it.
Story
I got my truck stuck in a mud bog shortly after I got it and stuck it in four-wheel drive, and it just got up and went. It cruised right out of that mud bog like it was no problem.
Pros
The Chevy Duramax diesel engine is the best diesel I've ever owned. It has tons of torque and really has some get up and go. The interior finishes are top notch on this vehicle. I opted for the upgraded leather package, and the leather still looks brand new. It has a great sound system and solid audio equipment. The Allison transmission makes a great complement to the Duramax engine. It is such a high-quality truck. I love it and plan to keep it forever.
Cons
The cost of the vehicle is the biggest drawback. You definitely pay for the Duramax diesel engine and Allison Transmission, but it is definitely well made. The cost makes it infeasible for many to ever afford.
