The 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is the perfect addition to any fleet. Whether you're on the job or on the road, this truck will not disappoint. This heavy-duty truck comes with rubber floor mats for jobsite protection, cloth seats, and plenty of seat and leg space for your entire crew. The 2500HD comes with a 6.0L engine that is full of power and adrenaline. It's made to haul the heaviest loads; or if you prefer, it also is classy enough to haul the family around. The cons about this truck is, if you're worried about city fuel mileage, it will disappoint. The 2500HD is a heavy duty truck, so it will ride rough. However, the suspension is heavy duty and built for the truck. This truck has performed well for me in many situations. I have taken this truck through narrow and steep moun... (more)
Story
Several years ago, I was meeting my family and friends at a campsite in the mountains. I took the wrong route and ended up going through some steep dirt road mountains. I ended up driving through the Superstition Mountains and Tortilla Flats in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. I had no service on my phone, and the roads were rough. The journey was awesome, though it had me on edge. The 25... (more)
Pros
The Silverado 2500HD has a strong 6.0L engine that is designed to pull the heaviest of loads. I enjoy that the engine is not very loud, and as long as its maintained, it will continue to run like the beast it is. Some of my favorite features of the truck are the electronic locks, strong suspension, and capability to pull heavy loads. Another one of my favorite features would be the rubber floor instead of carpet, which works great on rainy days and easy to keep clean.
Cons
If you drive on dirt roads daily as I did for many years, it will take a toll on the suspension. Although the suspension components are very strong and made to withstand heavy loads and rough roads, eventually enough rough riding will wear down suspension. Main suspension parts which wore down the fastest were front shocks, inner and outer tie rods, stabilizer bushings and upper control arms. Also, this is the base model. The base model does not come with electric windows. They are manual windows. This would be the main negative about this truck.

I bought my 2003 Silverado during the end of 2002. My Chevy Silverado has been the most reliable and solid vehicle I have ever owned. I love the vehicle so much that I plan on driving it until the wheels literally fall off. After driving this truck 450,000 miles in the 16 years I've owned it, it has NEVER let me down. I've put minimal money in repairs and parts in the truck. The LS 6.0 engine in the 2500HD is very powerful and I use it daily for towing a heavy dump trailer. After 300,000 miles, I had a mechanic tear the engine down in this truck to add some performance parts, namely high compression pistons and a cam. After 300,000 hard miles the mechanic showed me the inside of the engine and how it still had the factory cross hatches inside the engine, meaning little to no wear! Not ... (more)
Story
The first day of owning my Chevy Silverado was a hectic experience. It was pouring down rain and coming from driving a small car, I was not used to the power. The first day in the rain with the truck, every time I took off from a light i would spin the tires because I wasn't used to driving such a powerful vehicle!

Durable Long Lasting Sleek Interior
