2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Great work truck
I really like my old work truck. It's a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500. My profession requires me to haul large oxygen tanks to and from my place of business. My truck always starts right up on the first turn, and has been my most reliable vehicle to date. It gets decent gas mileage; I can get around 10 - 12 miles to the gallon in the city to about 15 - 20 on the highway. The body of my truck has been rusting pretty progressively since I purchased it about 7 years ago, but since my main purpose of this vehicle is to service my work needs of hauling tanks to and from job sites it works just fine for me. I plan on trying to convert the bed of my truck into a small camper that I am able to travel out of once I am able to get a new work truck; I'll make this my vacation vehicle.
Story

Tough
Rugged
Gets the job done
Takes me where I need to be
Hauls my tanks
Cons
Doesn't get the best mpg
Replacing tires are very expensive
2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Dependable, economical, productive
I purchased my Silverado in 2008 after my return from being overseas. I researched a lot of trucks but really wanted something simple, economical, and dependable. I loved the color and body style of the Chevy Silverado 1500, so I purchased one. I took excellent care of it both inside and out. I used it mainly for transportation to and from work and kept the mileage low. I used to park it under a carport, but during a storm, it got ripped away. Needless to say, my truck had plenty of damage of its own. Although the Insurance covered most of the repairs, it would never be the same. I have repaired electronics, ECM, BCM, sensors, safety lights, seatbelts, alarms, you name it. Everything went crazy. Repairing without proper coding is not an easy task. That is when I learned that there was ... (more)
Story
We use it for camping, fishing, pulling our boat, etc.. It has also been flash flooded and has stayed strong.
Pros
Economical, dependable, attractive, and productive. I added a liner for protection when hauling materials. Very easy open tailgate. Dependable off the road.
Cons
Hard to work on and repair. Diagnosing modules and sensors. Part recalls.

2013 Chevrolet Sonic - Bommarito Chevrolet South Saint Louis
The dealership worked with me on getting the exact car that I wanted, color and everything. Due to the fact that I had three kids with me, I thought it would be a hassle, however everyone played with the kids while I completed paperwork. I had to come back to pick up the vehicle, however they offered to deliver it to me at no additional charge with a full tank of gas! Also, they provided free oil changes for a year, as well as other complimentary services when it was brought back to them for service. The dealership even sent a thank you package of delicious cookies after the vehicle purchase.
2014 Chevrolet Equinox - Dave Sinclair Lincoln South Saint Louis
We started off having a bad experience, the dealership cleared my husband's truck to be released without telling us the brake lines were almost rusted away. After all his brakes failed on the highway on the way to work (thankfully he starts work at 3AM or he would have been killed) we went back to the dealership to complain. Initially we had resistance from the shop manager but we took it higher, to the boss, his father in fact and he offered to not only reimburse the cost of all our truck repairs, some $2000 but also to give us the truck back so we could use it for a trade in. The boss got his sales guy Bob to deal with us and he treated us so well. We told him what we needed and how we hadn't budgeted for a new pre-owned car. We told him we needed something with AWD to get up our dri... (more)
