2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Dependable.
I really enjoyed my vehicle, because one I picked out and two it is basically my ideal vehicle I wanted. I have always been a truck person, and Chevy has always ran through my blood. Ever since the days of Dale Earnhardt Sr. in motorsports.
Story
I was able to tow a few people. I towed a friend's car for about 1/2 mile where it needed to go.
Pros
There are many positive things about my truck. First, my truck is a full cab. Meaning it has 4 full doors for those who do not know what that means. Next, this is what really sold me on it, was that it is 4 wheel drive. A must when you grow up in the country. Plus, it is nice to be able to drive anywhere and any type of weather condition is outside. It has power windows and power locks that comes with a remote. It came with a CD/MP3/AUX port radio. Cons
There are only 2 things that I really do not like about my truck. First, there is only a 5 foot bed. That is really short when you need to move or haul things. I would have preferred an 8 foot bed. Finally, I do not like that it is so difficult to remove the spare tire from underneath the bed, even though I like where it is placed.
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Well worth it!!!
I have a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that I purchased brand new. It's by far the best vehicle that I have ever purchased. I have used it for everything from family vacations across country to usual driving to and from work. I've put over 100k miles on it and have never had any major issue with it. As long as you do the routine maintenance on it, you should have a vehicle that will last for quite a long time.
Story
We took the truck on a vacation to Alabama last year, and we had a blast driving my 2011 Chevrolet Silverado down the sand on the beach. The kids rode in the back as we went down the waters edge. It was an incredible time.
Pros
Some of the best things about my truck are: the space as there is plenty of room for a family of five to be seated comfortably. It gets about 20 miles per gallon on the highway and about 17 mpg in the city. It has a smooth ride and just glides down the highway. There is plenty of pulling power available as I have hauled my boat through some of the toughest made to get to the lakes all over the south and have never gotten stuck.
Cons
The cloth seats can be a little tough to clean at times so I wouldn't advise mixing children and food on long trips.
