2003 Chevrolet Malibu - Decent vehicle
I liked the way the car handled overall, however there were a few re-occurring problems that were agitating. As with most Chevy's the engine had a tendency to run hot after a few years. Also, I replaced a pass lock switch 2 times in the span of a year.
Story
I raced a friend up the highway, and threw a slice of pizza that hit his windshield.
Pros
Good on gas, lots of features such as power windows and doors.
Cons
Pass lock switch was faulty. Car runs hot after it gets into high mileage.
2010 Chevrolet Malibu - Sturdy, reliable car that has served me for almost a decade.
I have logged over 100k miles in my Chevy Malibu, and it has served me well over the past ten years. The interior is nice, seats are comfortable, and it still runs pretty well. Feels like you are in complete control when driving the car. I have had several issues over the years regarding several spark plugs needing to be changed, etc., but I drive this car a lot, logging 100k+ miles in 8-9 years. The gas mileage has severely degraded in my 7th or 8th year of owning my car. I would say driving 20-40 miles takes up a quarter tank of gas.
Story
Driving to a secluded cabin in the woods in middle of the night with my friends.
Pros
Driving feels smooth. Has OnStar functionality if subscribed to the service.
Cons
Mileage has become very poor over the years. Can probably drive about 100 or so miles before I need to pump gas again. Car radio lights have dimmed out after 5-6 years, and I can no longer see which station I'm listening to. A/C system recently emits some noxious smells if car is undriven for a long period of time.

They let me try a manual transmission car without having used a manual car (But have used motorcycles) before. They let me and my father work out the best car for myself without being dismissive or criticizing or even suggesting their own opinions. They were very open to negotiating and honest about everything the whole time. They were very sure to follow up after the sale and make sure everything was right and came through the way I expected. It was the first time I bought a new vehicle and they made it super easy and no pressure.

My car salesperson was amazing. He helped make sure that the car I purchased had every single feature I asked for. He then made me test drive a couple other vehicles to ensure that the one I had selected was just right. After we spent time determining I had the right car, he gave me a detailed explanation of what everything costs and was very amicable during the negotiation process.
