2002 Chevrolet Malibu - Bad year
It was listed for a recall. It is older now and we have had nothing but issues out of it. Our engine light stays on CONTINUOUSLY. Now we have an issue with the turn signals not working, and we are going to have to take the dash apart just to fix it to be able to get a legal inspection. Also the door locks are messed up. If you don't have the remote to unlock it, you are screwed. The speakers have managed to blow on what was a decent stereo when we first purchased the car. The windshield has a small crack in it and when it was first purchased, my mother owned it. The mileage is very low. She didn't do any wreckless driving. She went to the grocery store and back in it. I would never purchase this car again! The work that we need to have done to the engine is going to cost about $2,000 a... (more)
Pros
Stereo at one time - power doors locked at one time, when they worked properly and the automatic headlights. The A/C and heat work great as well.
Cons
The engine issues, the ignition problem, and the turn signals.
2016 Chevrolet Malibu - It's a good car for its price.
This was the first Malibu I'd even owned & so far I'm pretty pleased with it. When I first started driving it regularly I had some breaking issues which were quickly diagnosed & fixed by the dealership. It's a pretty smooth drive with good acceleration & I don't find myself frustrated when trying to pull into traffic. It's a modern car that's safe & has most of the tech you'd expect in a modern car. The OnStar system, which you have to pay extra for, has been really useful as has the navigation system. I've also been getting really good fuel mileage with it which is a big plus. It looks nice & drives well. You could do better but you could do a whole lot worse. One of the best in its price range & overall I'm very pleased with it so far.
Story
I wouldn't say fun but pretty soon after I bought it I had to take a pet to the vet & they used the bathroom in it on the way there & back then jumped in my lap. Good times.
Pros
Good value. Good fuel mileage. Safe & modern. Has a nice look. OnStar & navigation as a whole is very useful. Good warranty.
Cons
The paint job cracks easily & isn't high quality. They charge extra for things that should come standard (i.e. cruise control). Interior is very Spartan & uninspired. Braking issues.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu - Asheville Chevrolet
They have great facilities, just from the get-go. They're good people and they were really friendly (which I've come to not expect from people in Asheville). They were very knowledgeable about the product. Well, about all of their products, actually. As soon as I walk in they swarmed me; this is normal for a car dealership. But I knew that these individuals would be helping me from the moment I stepped into the door to the moment that I walked out with the keys to a new car. They were fast as well. They played no game. It was an overall great experience.
2007 Chevrolet Tahoe - Lee Chevrolet Buick Washington
I bought a used Chevy Tahoe. It was cleaned and detailed for me upon arrival. Lee Chevy was very professional. The service department is fine but has been understaffed the past few times I've brought it in for service.
