2010 Chevrolet Impala - Old faithful
Chevrolet Impalas have been around forever and I am a faithful Chevrolet owner. My wife use to love her Ford Focus (insert bad noise here) before we met, and once I got her into the Impala she was in love with the very spacious, smooth ride. After all, it's the same chassis used for Cadillac. It's very quiet and the 3.5 liter V6 will surprise you when you need it to. I find it to be very stable in bad weather and it averages 31 MPG doing 80 MPH on Florida highways, I believe it could do a bit better in cooler climates.
Story
I did 2 1/2 round trips from new York state to Florida with my wife and I can honestly say that is the most comfortable car for long road trip I've ever been in.
Pros
Quiet, comfortable ride. Very stable in bad weather. The power seat is very handy - my wife is short and it is easy to adjust the seat for both of us. Good gas mileage. Very safe in side impact collision (found out the hard way on the driver side). You don't need to change the timing belt, they use a chain and it saves on maintenance while improving longevity and reliability.
Cons
It had a key recall that Chevrolet waited way too long to admit to.
2007 Chevrolet Impala -
If you don't have money and need a nice car, this is the one to go with. The only problem is that there is a buzzing noise when the ignition starts. Drives smooth, built firm, drives really fast, lots of special features. I would buy this car again. at this price I doubt anyone will find a better deal anywhere.
Story
I have an awesome time driving to work and back home everyday.
Pros
The car looks very good for the price. The car can drive pretty fast. As long as it gets serviced it will last. I get a lot of compliments when I drive it down the street. The A/C and the heater work like a charm. I love the power-lock doors. It is also great to have automatic windows. This is just a great car for the price.
Cons
This car has a very ugly interior. When you walk up to the car it looks like a spaceship and hen you get into this beautiful machine, sadly it does not look like it was made in America. If you ever bought anything from china and it felt flimsy, you may know what I mean. Chevy did not take time at all with the car. They took the old Chevy Monte Carlo added 2 doors and a new name.
