The Chevy express van is unexpectedly a great vehicle. When I first got it, I was a little skeptical of how fast it might be able to go when carrying heavy loads, but to my surprise, it went pretty fast. I liked how despite carrying heavy things, it would still perform just as well as if it had nothing in it. A few of the negatives would be its interior, especially the radio housing. I had it break apart within just a couple months of using it. Not sure if I received a defective unit, but it didn't work out well.
Story
It was winter, and I was driving in the rain delivering products to my customers. I was going about 65 mph on the turnpike when the car slipped on some black ice. It wasn't that bad, and I only skidded a few feet, but the steering of the car made me feel safe, and I was able to steer straight within just a couple of seconds and go on my way.
Pros
One of the top positive things about the car was its capability of maintaining reliability despite heavy loads. Another part I like about the car was its height. It was a pretty tall van, so when I sat in the drivers seat, it felt like I could see above and beyond every car when driving on the road. My most favorite feature was the steering. It was very smooth, and it made me feel comfortable, especially during bad situations.
Cons
There are only a few negative things that I can think about for this vehicle. One of them was the radio housing. It broke apart within just a couple of months so small disappointment there. The second was the door handles. They were cheap plastic handles, and two out of the four handles are already cracked, but they still work. Lastly, the paint on the car. It feels like the company did a poor paint job, since the roof of the car had spots missing and rust there within just a couple of months.

2004 Chevrolet Express Cargo - My dream van.

I have been looking for this vehicle for a very long time, six or seven months. I wanted a used (but not used up) Chevy Express or its twin, a GMC Savana. Finally, I found this one with very few miles for the year and at a very decent price from a dealer not too far away. I found the vehicle online, and I drove there to see it and drive it. It has lots of room, three rows total, and runs smoother than a car. The fuel consumption is higher than the car I traded in, but that is to be expected with a full-size van like this. I have not calculated yet the MPG because I have had it less than a week, but the reviews say 13-19 mpg. What I did not expect, and I was very pleasantly surprised, is that my Express is AWD, a rare find, as AWD was an option only for a couple of years with this van.
Pros
AWD, seat warmers, windows that open at the back, and a very smooth and quiet drive. Lots of space -- you can get up and walk in it!
Cons
It does not fit in my garage.
