2011 Chevrolet Equinox - This SUV is an up-to-date look and I would purchase it again in the future.
I like how up-to-date the interior is. It has an electronic console that includes XM radio, Bluetooth capability, and GPS. It also has OnStar capability. Everything seems to be holding up well as far as the seats go and the trim. The only thing I don't like about the SUV is it doesn't have a lot of acceleration to get out into traffic. It is a compromise I guess to get better gas mileage.
Story
I was at the local Meijer store and I was leaving the store. I was in there awhile and I attempted to get in my vehicle that my wife was already in and found out that the woman in the passenger seat wasn't my wife. My car was two spaces farther in the parking lot.
Pros
Electronics. Radio console. Exterior looks.
Cons
Small engine- slow acceleration.
2015 Chevrolet Equinox - Great medium size.
I run the millage up on my cars and have always had luck with Chevy trucks/subs. The size is big enough to give you traction in the winter, but it still gets over 30 mpg on the highway. The standard Michelin tires are great.
Story
It handles well in northern Ohio snow storms. Where I live I need traction when there is ice on the road.
Pros
The reliability has been great. I have learned to trust Consumer Reports magazine's reliability rankings. The size is not too big and not too small. There is a lot of cargo room as you can fold the back seats down.
Cons
It is not a giant SUV, but has some size. It is not an off-road car.
