2011 Chevrolet Equinox - Great little car
I like how easily this car handles. I do a lot of driving on country roads, so I use the feature of putting it into manual and shifting to 6th gear to save gas. I also like that I can fit two German Shepherds in the back when the seat is folded down. At night, I like how the dashboard looks. It reminds me of a small place cockpit.
Story
I had another car exactly like this but a different color, and it was T-boned by a driver pulling out of a side street. The car was totaled, but my husband and I lived through it. Nobody could believe it when they saw pictures of the car. That's why I got another one like it.
Pros
My dogs both fit in the back. I love the manual drive feature and also the ability to Bluetooth my phone for hands-free. I like the road feel. I always know where the car is, so I feel confident driving it. It gets pretty good mileage, 26 mpg average. I have not had too much work done on it as far as cars go.
Cons
I did have a few recalls when I first got the car. Also, I had a very expensive air conditioning repair not long after I got it. The bad thing was that it sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, and the dealer told me they could not fix it unless it was acting up at the time I brought it in. So I drove 35 miles when it wasn't working in the Florida summer heat, and they told me to shut off the engine and it started working again. Very annoying because then I had to keep coming back.
2016 Chevrolet Equinox - Good ride and drive!
I really like the way this car drives. It handles easily and well. I also enjoy the ride. The car rides comfortably and smoothly. The color is silver, and it is gorgeous. However, it really looks more like a champagne color. This is actually an SUV. Therefore, I have lots of room with a backseat that folds down and a nice space in the back. I am also up where I can see the traffic a long way in front and in back of me.
Story
We visited the Casino, and when we came out to get back in our car, there were many Equinoxes the same color in the parking lot!
Pros
This wonderful vehicle has many positive things. There is a built-in back-up camera, which makes backing up much easier and safer. You don't have to turn your head almost around to see; you just look at the screen on the dashboard. We have Sirius XM that is also built in, and there is many different music selections available. The seats are very soft and comfortable. I love to lay back while my husband drives during our vacations. There is plenty of legroom for everyone. We get great gas mileage out it!
Cons
Our vehicle is only a four-cylinder engine. It does not have the pick up and go of our Blazer. Honestly, I really cannot think of any other negative things about our Chevy SUV Equinox!
